Authorities said major retail chains could restrict the sale of a number of “socially important goods,” such as food staples, and limit how high they mark up their prices. The measures were aimed at possible speculation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said Saturday.

Ever hear of rationing in WWII from your grandparents. I have and it seems Russia is getting ahead of the curve.

In America, we are clearly superior. We know how to create BOTH shortages AND inflation at the same time!

Yes. I was there. Everything was rationed.
We were a household of ten, parents plus eight kids.
Everything was rationed...sugar, butter, shoes, coffee, etc.
My grandpa worked on the docks in Brooklyn, as a security guard, and we were able to get a lot of stuff that other folks did not.
But my parents generously shared with less fortunate neighbors.

IIRC, it was illegal in Iraq under Saddam Hussein.
People were rationed a month’s supply of food every month and you did not want to be found trying to procure extra.

" Was it ‘Years of the Beast’ where hoarding was illegal? Maybe the movie images will be posted! 😬" While I believe the "rapture" is the "first resurrection" at the end of the tribulation, yet some of the old "rapture" movies in essence portrayed some of basic developments which current events are precursors of.
