As coronavirus cases improve across the Bay Area and United States, local health officials are loosening safety guidelines.
The latest number of confirmed cases in the U.S. can be found at the CDC's 2019 Novel Coronavirus in the U.S. page. (The CDC updates the webpage on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.)
Mayor London Breed announced that San Francisco's policy of requiring proof of vaccination or a negative test for indoor settings likes bars, restaurants, and gyms will be lifted Friday.
Businesses can decide to be more restrictive than local health guidelines and can continue to require proof of vaccination or a negative test from their staff and clients.
Masks can also still be required.
