Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said Wednesday on ABC’s “The View” that she hopes former President Donald Trump gets charged in connection with the January 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
When asked about her whereabouts on January 6, Grisham said, “I was at home sitting in my bedroom because of COVID, The East Wing wasn’t — nobody was coming in. I had a really bad feeling that day and as soon as it started. Of course, I sent Mrs. Trump a text and said, you know, I think you should tweet out that protest is the right of every American, but you’ve got to be peaceful. You’ve got to stop the violence. She had done that before. She had been the voice of reason before, and she just said no. She was upstairs taking pictures of the new carpet she had gotten. I had been trying to resign for a few months, and she would talk me out of it and that day, just said no, and I resigned.”

Concur; as much as I despise the Demos, they don’t have this widespread disloyalty among people they gave high-level jobs to. John Bolton? Who would hire that warmongering neocon who avoided military service in Vietnam? Anyone recommended by Paul Ryan should have been automatically rejected. Trump showed very poor judgment in his personnel selections.
With his business background, he hired based on people being QUALIFIED. His mistake was ignoring political leanings and obligations of the candidates.
It sounds like she wasn’t really a White House press secretary, but secretary to the First Lady. And a grumpy one at that.

A lot of these people actually are Democrats at heart. In DC, a lot of political workers have no loyalty to a party. They are known as political prostitutes. They will say/be whatever is needed to be close to/get a job with whomever is in power at the moment. When Trump became personal non grata, even with those working for him like wet moodle Mick Mulvaney, on January 6, thru all tried to distance themselves by quitting, but worse, defaming Trump and family do they will get hired again. Can’t trust any of them.

Because she was fine with Trump and the job until Trump was ostracized starting on January 6. She’d just trying to save her own hide by saying that she had been trying to quit for months to show she’s not just saying this to distance herself from the insurrection, but that she had felt this way before that. She’s a liar and not a good one.

"Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham in a new book says former President Trump’s anger toward her and others was “terrifying.”
Grisham, who served as press secretary for nine months before moving to the first lady’s office, writes in her new book, “I’ll Take Your Questions Now,” that she started to regret her decision to work in the West Wing when she saw Trump’s temper “wasn’t just for shock value or the cameras.”
“When I began to see how his temper wasn’t just for shock value or the cameras ... I began to regret my decision to go to the West Wing,” Grisham writes in the book, according to The New York Times, which obtained the manuscript."

He hired people who were disloyal. They had that in their core before he hired them. Their bad character had nothing to do with the establishment. They were just bad people.
If you had a establishment President you wouldn’t even know who the “disloyal” people are because it is all one big uniparty. It would be business as usual and you would think things are running so well and all the right people are hired.
You said Trump was terrible at hiring. As far as, Grisham goes, she never did anything bad while Trump was President and was loyal. For Trump she was Press Sec in name only and was hired by other people for other jobs. She never held a Press Briefing.
If Trump was so terrible at hiring, how did Trump knock it out of the park with Sarah Huckabee? She was called the greatest Press Sec of all time! Then he hired Kayleigh and people say she was ever better than Huckabee. Trump is so terrible at hiring. People wish they could be this terrible.
Grisham’s I am sorry I served under Trump and I just realized he is a con man is an act to preserve her ability to live in Washington. It’s not Trump’s fault. Listen to Limbaugh.
If you want a President to fight the swamp, this is some of what you are going to get. If you want you just want all sunshine and roses, vote for a swamp creature President that will sit back and be controlled by the establishment, and then you won’t lose sleep after they attack the President after they leave office so they can live in Washington.
