Marine Le Pen warns EU banning Russian oil tantamount to ‘harakiri’

PARIS, March 9. /TASS/. If the EU is going to embargo supplies of Russian oil that would be the equivalent of "committing harakiri," French lawmaker and presidential candidate Marine Le Pen told the France-2 TV channel.

"Trying to harm Russia by committing harakiri is a poor method," she said, commenting on the EU’s proposal to impose an embargo on the deliveries of Russian oil. "In this case, our economy is running the risk of dying first and it seems like nowadays that’s what we are aspiring to do," she insisted.

"The use of this instrument would mean sanctioning the French people, French enterprises, the French economy which would need years to recover," the French presidential candidate cautioned. In her opinion, "the repercussions of this move may turn out to be worse than the consequences of the pandemic." "The best way to settle the crisis is to use diplomatic tools," Le Pen stressed.

The irony here is that France alone might do OK as they are the only EU country which generates a big share of their power from nuclear reactors.

The lunatics who wish to dismantle the fossil fuel industry, which will cause chaos and famine, are using this Ukraine war to cause in the short term a rapid rise in the cost of gasoline and energy. This will become the “new normal” and will be the beginning of the end of gasoline availability to most people. These lunatics include the Democratic Party core and the colluding MSM.

“Tass (get over it)”

LOL! People here immediately discount Russian news sources, even after Western news sources have been verified to be flat-out lying to them. Being an agent of Putin, I do look at RT regularly and I haven’t (yet) confirmed any fake news on their site. They seem to be truthful in simply not repeating the lies from the Western media and feel no need to make up stories about what’s going on there.

Unfortunately, Putin didn’t pay me enough to learn Russian, so I can’t comment either way on what’s reported in Russian-language media, so no comment either way on that.

Google translate. You can enter the URL and it will translate the page. Nice thing is, the address bar then has a link that you can copy and send or post and opening it will open a translated web page.

Google translate will also do pdf’s.

This is an honest report regarding the impacts of the West’s stupidity. EVERYTHING you read from western sources is absolute total BS or some degree of manipulative disinfo. This is how screwed up the “free world” is today. The Tass reporting is the most responsible, honest coverage of this cluster that you can find (most, not ALL, they report is disinfo). What an incredible nightmare we’re living through.

Ideally politicians would care more another their own citizens than something happening in some random country

If Western leaders were smart and were acting in our nations’ best interest, which they’re not, then they’d be buying up Russian assets at fire sale prices. Instead, they’re going to let China buy it all up. But it’s more important to them to protect the Biden family / Romney associates money laundering operations and God knows what else they’ve got going on in Ukraine.

I can't believe we haven't cancelled the Russian language.

By the way. It's called Marxist-Leninism for a reason. Lenin was Russian. Can we cancel communism now. Oh, we can't because the Russians cancelled communism and so we have to cancel-cancel communism.

Why would the Russians regard their cancelled paper as legally binding on Russian assets.

The important thing is to punish Putin, by whatever means necessary.

If harakiri ensues, well so be it.

A Russian I knew from a former life put it best when we were casually discussing how the American media was covering for Bill Clinton: “Even Pravda would criticize the Politburo once in awhile.”

And it has only gotten worse since then.
