Even if one accepts their premise, the problem is that there isn’t going to be any EVs to buy after current stock sells through due to the chip shortage. EVs use a lot of chips, which are in very short supply at current, and the industry can’t expand because we make none of the required neon gas for manufacture in the US... and most of it comes from Ukraine. Whoopsie.
