Zelensky Softens Tone: Instead of No-Fly Zone, ‘Send to Us Combat Aircraft’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday urged countries uncomfortable with his proposal to establish a no-fly zone over his country – effectively requiring foreign countries to shoot down Russian planes – to consider, instead, offering Ukraine more weapons.
The suggestion is a dramatic change in tone from Zelensky’s remarks on Saturday, in which he told NATO countries that Ukrainian civilians will “die because of you” and called them “weak” for rejecting the responsibility of implementing a no-fly zone.

Anything else? How about a couple billion in unmarked bills?

What does actor boy have to do with anything?
EU aristocrat freaks are in charge.
They have to deal with crazy Russia.
They seem to be ok with whatever is happening.

Reasonable ask. Watching Russia bombing civilians this morning was sickening to say the least.

I see no problem with NATO running a special logistics operation. Nor should Putin.
Maybe some Little Green Men might help Ukraine, too.
And that NATO buildup in Eastern Europe right now? It’s just a routine exercise. Nothing that Russia should worry about.

Watching Russia bombing civilians
That is flat out a lie. The only civilian targets the Russians have hit is because the Ukrainians have placed heavy weapons in schools and apartment buildings. The Ukrainians are using civilians as human shields.

As far as fighter... the hardware... you need pilots, don't you?
A multimillion dollar fighter is useless without a trained pilot.

Flying out of what airfield? Exactly. I have no doubt Russia bombed all Ukraine airfields. Maybe they left the hangers/bunkers intact to save time and munitions (or they intend to repossess those planes later) - but the idea they would ignore western Ukraine airfields entirely is just stupidity.
Everything about Ukraine just seems like a propaganda and media exercise, completely divorced from reality.

Honestly, if I were in Russias position anyone sending weapons would be fair game. Somehow I find it hard to believe that anyone is willing to turn a blind eye if Belarus were playing a direct role. They’d be sanctioned just the same.

Even after all we've been trough these last few years. There are still way too many who don't get that. Many are being manipulated by a concerted effort of big government, big money and big media. The sad thing is that they are having an easy time of it.
