Most of my readers didn’t trust corporate media’s portrayal of Russiagate or the alleged pee tape that was manufactured for effect by Hillary Clinton’s operatives. You laughed when they tried to tell us the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation. You were skeptical of the narratives surrounding the after-dark counting of ballots following the 2020 election, as well as the dismissal of mountains of evidence of massive, widespread voter fraud. You didn’t buy the January 6 “insurrection” narrative. You haven’t fallen for Pandemic Panic Theater.
Why, then, are so many people buying into the notion that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is some sort of good guy in the Russia-Ukraine fiasco? The answer is found in human nature; we tend to look at things as “A vs B.” If Vladimir Putin is the bad guy, then his opposition must be the good guy. Governments and corporate media networks across the globe are playing on this false notion and compelling even lucid patriots into thinking that Zelenksy is fighting the good fight.
I’m not taking a side in the regional conflict. It’s not because I’m indecisive; my long-time readers know I take a strong stance on just about every important issue. In this situation, neither side is worth supporting. Zelensky is not a good guy, and while it’s extremely unfortunate that Ukrainian civilians as well as reluctant members of both militaries are being victimized by their two leaders, I don’t see Zelenksy’s actions serving the interests of his people. Most importantly, I don’t see an upside for America to get involved.

I wonder if Ukraine was a bit like 1939 Germany decadence.
Whether Zelensky is a good guy or not, doesn’t change whether we should help Ukraine.
There’s 44 million people in Ukraine that doesn’t want Russia there. Zelensky is only one person. And all the smear jobs against Zelensky are suspect.
In any war, you sometimes have to choose to be on the side of the lesser of two evils.
Putin has never been on the right side of things, and though Zelenko may not be the ideal person to support, he is still the representative of Ukraine, and the people of Ukraine are not as evil as Putin. I’m in support of the people of Ukraine, and Zelenko happens to be the person in charge of how the war progresses. Besides, the people of Ukraine chose him and we need to support the lesser of two evils, but, the people of Ukraine should not be considered the lesser of two evils, since collectively, they did not choose to be invaded or to lose their freedoms or to be ruled by a ruthless dictator.
I don’ want to click on this, but this guy had better be ready to enumerate all the things that make Zelensky a BAD GUY.
I’m not saying he isn’t, but I haven’t heard any reason not to support him.
I want REAL EVIDENCE, HARD EVIDENCE provable in court.

The sheer hypocrisy of some people trying to make some moral judgement about who the US should or should not support in light of our last 120+ years is nauseating.

The article presents very simplistic assumptions about the thinking of people who sympathize with the people of Ukraine.
We supported Papa Doc in Haiti because he promised to keep the Russians and Cubans out, so we looked away while the Ton Ton Macoutes did their thing.

It is about Russia launching a full scale military invasion of a major neighboring country, while simultaneously making threatening noises about what countries should't be members of NATO.
It's about stopping inexcusable aggression in Europe, nothing more.
What Soros has or has not done does not justify a Russian invasion of Ukraine.
