Musk's tweet calling for more fossil fuel production was retweeted roughly 20,000 times in 30 minutes
Tesla co-founder and CEO Elon Musk called on the United States to increase its domestic oil output in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, while also acknowledging that his electric car company would be negatively affected by that move. "Hate to say it, but we need to increase oil & gas output immediately," Musk tweeted Friday. "Extraordinary times demand extraordinary measures."

We went up 50 cents in two days...Over $4 now
I predict some legal troubles for Elon Musk in the very near future.
The SEC has already started on him.
Do not let Biden get away with blaming Russia for high gas prices. He alone is responsible for all of this.

___
Exactly.
Thank Joe for a good measure of this mess: It cost me $61 to fill up my Hyundai two days ago. Within two hours of taking office, Dufus issued an Executive Order that killed the Keystone Pipeline and severely restricted oil leases on federal lands. Why? Is it an accident that a large contributor owns the only rail line between the ND oil fields and the refineries in the Mississippi Delta? Even the Tree Huggers should be PO’ed as it makes no environmental sense, either. Just pure stupid politics by an illiterate economic twit.
Even Elon realizes that EVs don’t do well in a real emergency much less a war.
Right now, it might be a chance to gather vast Anerican support for Musk’s push...
I am not even sure of the accuracy of the title. High energy costs are going to appear in the cost of Teslas. Teslas are built using oil, and so is an economy where people can afford Teslas.
But, if it helps the Left to be confounded by his altruism, I’ll take it.
Same here in Phoenix. Up from $3.89 to $4.45 in a week.
“despite negative effect on Tesla”
If oil and gas get too rare and costly, the economy will tank, and fewer people will be able to afford Teslas.
Pavlich just (Fox News Sunday) raised again the fact that the Keystone Pipeline is a national security issue...
Energy prices drive up everything and Americans who are strapped for cash aren't going to be buying Teslas.
And he sued them right back and aggressively perused the case.
Add in the diesel charging stations that Tesla built I locations they were not allowed to connect to the grid.
The trucking industry is getting utterly killed, $5 to $6 a gallon for diesel and I would imagine it’s nearer to $8 in the communist run states like Commiefornia.
And where will those costs be passed? To the consumer. It’s too bad we can’t tax the piss out of all the Biden voters for this. My neighbor down the block is a big Biden supporter. I feel like asking him for the extra money I have to pay. $1.85 a gallon to over double that in a year, get the hell out of here with this crap
Musk needs to send that message to Bidens boss: AOC
Yes he is although we all know who will get blamed relentlessly as we near the midterms: Trump.
