Funny how no one cares about DEI on NBA or NFL teams...
Equity is important!
My experience is that the guys at the top don’t want to assign tasks, anyway. It makes them too responsible.
It has really been only the willingness of those in the middle and on the bottom to “do the right thing” that has been carrying this along for a long time. This “equity” crap knocks that right out of them.
EXACTLY. What we will not tolerate in our ENTERTAINMENT we insist on in our Government and Defense.
This is madness, and it is killing our country.
This is madness, and it is killing our country.
That’s a feature, not a bug.
I agree 45 years in the work force and rarely did I ever encounter a department head who gave direct orders. It was always CYA with upper mgmt, and plasable denial. I was fortunate enough to have a captain who did take the stance everything was his responsibly and the buck stopped with him. Woe be unto the man who made a the terrible mistake that he had to report to the fleet. Woe, woe, woe.
NBA and NFL ranks are filled with thoroughbreds the likes of which have no equals
fair and impartial AKA color and ethnicity
“NFL”
Don’t tell anyone but the two black head coaches in the NFL (Tomlin and Lovie Smith) mean the NFL has 6.3% black head coaches. The black male population in the U.S., 21 million divided by 335 million (maybe more) equals 6.268%. Yet ESPN whines day and night about racism in NFL hiring practices.
The total black population in the U.S is 14%, but what black female is head coaching material? The new Miami coach identifies as half black so are there really 7.4% black head coaches in the NFL? He’s the whitest looking half black guy I’ve ever seen, though. Blacks represent 30% of NFL assistants.
DEI should be DIE for corporations and businesses. it is one more thing for the top brass to waste time on, besides counting the value of their stock options and having meetings asking their underlings to report out daily on a myriad of things.......in case someone asks. Strategy, don’t have time.
There is no group of people have such poor vision.
“There is no group of people have such poor vision.”
And about as thin-skinned as they come.
How about demanding that a person who has a major stutter be named a NBC/ABC/CBS anchor for evening news......
How about a person with Tourette’s Syndrome be given the job of White House Press Secretary???
How about demanding that persons who have dwarf physical build be told they are now playing Football in the NFL?
How about demanding that blind persons be allowed to be UPS drivers???——That actually was a court case, and the judge threw the guy & the case out of court.
Demand that colorblind persons be the Head of wardrobe departments at major studios???
Their idea of “EQUITY” completely is nuts-—and it deliberately pushes MERIT aside.
Your numbers are off. If you’re removing black females from the pool as “ineligible”, you need to remove white/other females as well. Sure black males may be 6.3% coaches and population, but they’re also probably close to that 14% of just the male population also.
White males aren’t 70%, they’re 35%. Your math (applied equally across grievance groups) means half the teams won’t have a coach!
Fixed it.
Forgot to add, the half-black guy should count as full black, not half. When have you ever seen a mulatto identify with his white half? You’d think that’d be all they do, to get their white privilege, but nope, always associate with their black side only.
This includes different genders [sexes], races, ethnicities, religions, cultures and sexual orientations [preferences].

‘Diverse’ in their world means how many ‘favored’ minorities are included.
“Equity” is defined as being fair and impartial -— says who?
fair and impartial, mean fair and impartial...
LOL! Not these daze.
