Rick Scott on putting US troops in Ukraine: 'I don't think you should ever take it off the table'

Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) said in an interview on “Full Court Press with Greta Van Susteren” that will air on Sunday that putting U.S. troops in Ukraine shouldn’t be completely off the table.

“You should always keep all your options open … I don't think you should ever take it off the table,” Scott said in response to a question on whether he’d ever support the U.S. sending troops to Ukraine.

The Biden administration has said there are no plans to send American troops into Ukraine as the U.S. has deployed thousands of troops to Eastern Europe both in the lead-up to and following Russia's invasion of its neighboring country.

Totally agree with the headline.

Biden’s approach was a disaster.

No, I think Biden did the right thing. Unless you wanted a direct confrontation/war with Russia, about all the U.S. government can do is just sanction Russia.

Absolutely not.

Station equipment and forces in Taiwan. Let Europe defend Europe!

Even if you have no intention of putting troops on the ground, you don't tell the other side what you are willing and not willing to do.

I remember when Biden gave Putin a list of 16 items that were off limits to Russian cyber attacks. (I guess if something wasn't on the list, it was fair game.) Donald Trump would have told him everything was off limits.

That argument could have been made in 1941 but thankfully wasn’t

When did Russia attack the USA? When did Russia attack a NATO country?

Utterly insane to even consider this!

How about US troops on the southern boarder!!! That is where WE are being invaded. F*** Europe ... we have our own problems to take care of.

Rick Scott and his family including all relatives near and distant want to demonstrate their resolve by volunteering to be the one and only American Expeditionary force fighting for American interests in Ukraine, which are also know as the tail wagging the dog!

In taking troops off the table early on, Biden greenlighted the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

A President *NEVER* takes the threat -- direct or implied -- of troops off the table.

Rick Scott should ask himself if he is willing to risk Jacksonville, Miami, or Pensacola to protect Ukraine. Or Ted Cruz if he will risk Houston/Galveston, Fort Hood, and Fort Bliss.

Kind of reckless. Is he anticipating a new steel curtain in the middle of Ukraine, like East vs. West Germany?

Actually, that seems to be Putin’s plan b. Maybe even with a Kyiv wall down the middle of the capitol. Putin’s history in East Germany must color his plans here.

Scott will never be majority leader now. He was making a play...but he just killed his chances.

Can’t these guys see that Biden botched the negotiations in the fall and now they are trying to protect him and his flunky state department.

Russia would never have moved if Putin was secure in the neutrality of Ukraine.

Biden needs to be impeached......
