For years Democratic Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have targeted Tesla founder Elon Musk with false accusations about his tax burden. Warren has been particularly vicious in recent months and has repeatedly said Musk pays "no taxes." This is a lie.
Musk's mother, Maye Musk, is making sure Senators Sanders and Warren know.

Elon Musk’s 2021 taxes were just about enough to pay back GM’s bailout earlier this century. Reuters reported that the US government lost $11.2 billion bailing out GM, more than the $10.3 billion the Treasury Department estimated it made when it sold its remaining GM shares in December. In 2021, Elon Musk paid over $11 billion in taxes due to selling Tesla shares.

This made me smile. There’s something quite charming about a mom defending her kid no matter how wealthy, successful and not in need of defending the kid actually is. I remember seeing NFL quarterback Steve Young years ago talking about how his mom would argue with fans in the stands who were heckling him.

For those who wonder, ‘geographic immunity’ is the word here. Statements by elected US Legislators, Senators and Representatives, are legally immune to slander suits if uttered within legislative chambers.
Remember Sen. Harry Reid (’D’onkey - Nevada) in the 2012 Election? Remember him ‘Stating as a fact’ that Mitt Romney had been a tax cheat for the past decade? He was immune by always saying this in the Senate or where this US Constitutional immunity is recognized. Blatant lie that was publicized everywhere!

Same applies to Bernie & Liz in this case! They can lie their heads off wherever this immunity applies and thee is no recourse! The lapdog press will just repeat it and the mud sticks to the wall!
