It’s BAD. The leftists at work are in a froth, and if you don’t echo their sentiments, you’re branded a sympathizer. This is mob rule writ large, and I’m legitimately getting freaked out. Like hair-standing-on-my-neck freaked out. Something’s really off with the world right now.

Unless Putin’s conventional forces have been faking incompetence, I predict he loses, goes back across the border. Putin spends the rest of his days doing what he does best - incrementally adding to Russia’s landholdings in places other than Ukraine. I see him annexing Belarus, and maybe some of the stans.
And adding to his $200b fortune, of course, some of which is frozen overseas. He’ll probably try to smooth over the fuss over the late unpleasantness, and promise to be a good boy again. The West will take his words at face value because cheap gas is cheap gas, and we don’t really want Russia to become beholden to China. It would be nice for Russia to be able to defend itself from China without the West having to step in. Plus Russia also keeps Mongolia from becoming a Chinese province. Now that’s one border where the Russians could with a few more buffer states.

This could be Chinese disrupters going for the hail Mary. Get us into a shooting and glowing war with Russia and they won’t even care about Taiwan or Lithium mines, they take home the biggest enchilada in history.
