Then Biden added, "One of those soldiers was my son, Major Beau Biden," and then he said, "We don't know for sure if a burn pit was the cause of his brain cancer." No one asks whether Beau was anywhere near burn pits in Iraq. No fact-checkers stir.
Heckling a president during the State of the Union (especially a Democrat president) is not polite or politically smart. But the liberal journalists who were scandalized by the heckling never take exception to Biden's very repetitive citations of his son, so much it reeks of exploitation.
The president implied his son was a soldier among "the world's fittest and best-trained warriors." Beau Biden served honorably in Iraq in 2008 and 2009 (coinciding with Biden's campaign for vice president). But he served as a lawyer, as a major in the Judge Advocate General's Corps.
More than a few conservatives drew a different inference. Biden made no explicit mention of Afghanistan or the American lives lost there, and so when Psaki said Biden "didn't have time to touch on everything," it sounded like there was no time in a 62-minute speech to mention those warriors. But there was time to work in Beau.
When the families of those 13 war dead assembled at Dover Air Force Base in August, several were disturbed by the president's energetic citation of Beau. "When he just kept talking about his son so much it was just -- my interest was lost in that," said Mark Schmitz. Biden also angered the families as he was also caught repeatedly looking at his watch as the bodies were unloaded one by one.
On the morning after the big speech, someone posted an edited video on Twitter that underscored how aggressively Biden has brought up his son's death, with a slick set of choking-up-and-talking points. MSNBC and everyone else in the liberal media routinely enable this exercise ... at the same time that they routinely ignore every scandalous new development about Hunter Biden, the son who can't be painted as G.I. Joe.
Biden’s constant use of his dead son Beau is disgusting. As the author says, we have no idea whether he was even near a burn pit, although Nancy Pelosi seemed to find it oddly funny. I remember Biden shouting about how the people of Kosovo respected Beau so much they named a highway after him - well, I wonder if that had anything to do with his old man being the VP of a country that funded Kosovo??
But all is OK for crazy Nancy to rip up speech right behind the president.

As far as I’m concerned, Pelosi opened the floodgates on this with the “ripping paper” display. I’d like to see Republican representatives live tweet each speech from the floor with immediate rebuttals and fact checks, and possibly a laugh track. As many have pointed out, they can dish it but can’t take it.
And to those Gopes who will hide behind “decorum”, YOU got us here.
AGAIN SHAME ON YOU!!!
It’s only rude when republicans do it.
I think there is something wrong with a man who drags his sons coffin around.
“Biden’s constant use of his dead son Beau is disgusting.”
Especially when used in a military context.
The HORRORS of constant exposure to the danger of…CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME!
This is why my father made little mention of his WWII and Korea experiences to anybody. The only time he may have “fought the Germans” might have been in a bar.
Heckling a lying, murdering traitor to the United States of America is ALWAYS appropriate!
Yeh, I’m willing to bet a lot of money that Bo was never near a burn pit.
I didn’t say that the loss of his son Beau wasn’t a sad event; I said, and reiterate, that his constant use of his death to make political points is disgusting. His attempt to paint his family as a Gold Star family, which they are not, is disgusting. And his treatment of the families of the 13 patriots killed by his bungling in Afghanistan is even more disgusting.
-— is not polite -—
In a war to the death, politeness doesn’t count
One who insists on politeness will submit to beaing eaten by the lions and must be castigated for wimpiness
My uncles never talked about their WWII experiences and 3 of them were coast watchers in the Pacific ...

As a Major in the U.S. Army, Beau Biden never came near a burn pit. That’s a job for Grunts, not officers.
My dream: President Trump becomes Speaker of the House, he rips up Biden’s state of the union speech behind Biden..
The issue was the prevailing wind.
Some burn pits in Iraq grew to be recognized as particularly unfortunately positioned vis-a-vis the bulk of service members aggregated at their corresponding base.
It was a real problem.
Biden forgot to mention the 13 people who lost their lives in Afghanistan under his watch. How many were wounded? Also, lots of civilians were killed there and innocent children.
Biden is good at blaming others for all of his failures.
Yep, he and cronies are with putin and Xi, imo
