U.S. Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said President Joe Biden's State of the Union address 'left a little to be desired' for Democrats because he did not push issues like renewable energy, student loan debt, education or immigration.
The New York Democrat said Biden's speech on Tuesday, where he focused on COVID recovery and the conflict in the Ukraine, failed to capitalize on moving away from Russian oil by committing to green energy.
'I think it was a lost opportunity,' Ocasio-Cortez, 32, told MSNBC. 'There is profound bipartisan support to a long-term shift away from fossil fuels.'
She added that Biden had glossed over issues of 'crisis in education,' student loan debt and immigration, key issues that she said deserved the Democratic party's focus.

I love the keyword “donkeychompers.” Lol!
I don’t think so!!
You my have some younguns using your rhetoric....
But you’ll be a long time getting your green world.
I don't see it, maybe in 30-50 years, but not overnight. As far as the "education crisis" yep, but again that's only going to be fixed with competition. Student loans, I guess my only comment would be; pay them off, not my problem.
You can’t fool me. I can read between your lines. You just want to date her. Admit it.
STFU you buck toothed moron.
Methane, natural gas, is a renewable source. All that is necessary is to collect it and put it in pipelines.
Methane exists in a very concentrated form at ocean depths where the sea bottom is conducive to its collection, as it is in the form of Methane Hydrate, an amorphous gel-like substance that forms under the temperature and pressure conditions of about 4 degrees Celsius, and water pressure at depths greater than about 1,500 meters. Since it is heavier than saline water at the same temperature, it forms a distinct layer where it lies in low places. When warmed above the optimum temperature, it again breaks down into free gaseous methane and the water of which it is composed.
It is estimated that there is from some four times to as much as ten times as much methane locked up in Methane Hydrate, than in all the recoverable wells and gas domes all over the world. WAY more than enough to provide all the energy needs for the entire world for centuries to come.
All we have to do is determine some way to extract, transport, and deliver this substance to ultimate users.
Nah. As Rush used to say, she’s got a young skull full of mush. I’d rather date an intelligent conservative woman.
Every last one of these ninnies needs to have everything they own that was made from, made with the use of, transported by, or simply enhanced by fossil fuels taken from them. Every last item. It may not work for the committed, but those on the fence or just going along to play along will have their eyes opened.
biden is an F-UP to both repubs AND dems.
Not your piggy bank bitch.
Well she’s only off by about 98%. On oil that is. SHE on the other hand is 100% off. And no, I do NOT want to date her. Laz? Hi might.....................
AOC owes about $17,000 in student loans—unless she is lying—and she wants her loan balance forgiven-——
She bought a brand new Tesla in fall of 2021.
I live rural & I do NOT know anyone who supports such a plan.
Let’s stop using the phrase “fossil fuels.” Insread use “petroleum products” or “gas and oil.”
Boy are you RIGHT ! I work part-time for AutoZone and people stream in every day to fix up and customize their gas and diesel vehicles.
Americans LOVE their cars and millions install custom accessories to make them unique.
"You crazy, Sandy... why, I oughta call you.. 'Crazy Sandy.'"
The entire country supports a shift away from AOC
All of the C-Level MBA type board members and investors do anyway, which does not bode well for the future ...
