A Russian column was obliterated and corpses were seen lying beside the road. The remains of the Russian military convoy blocked a street in the town of Bucha after the ambush - said to have been carried out by troops armed with NLAW missile launchers.
Artillery and drone strikes are also thought to have been deployed in the attack. Locals civilians are also reported to have helped fight the invaders by throwing petrol bombs.
Yah.
Vlad might disrupt the biolabs, Mitts, Nancy, LGraham, Hunters pipelines along with the DNC hacker farms, military and humanitarian aid kickbackers, money launderers, Epsteins 13 year old high cheekbone Ukranian girls, gun runners and drug dealers. All the reasons we love Ukranians.
Almost forgot the Nazis. We don’t mind that shit no more, either.
Why are libertarians your favorite group to attack? Do you have any evidence whatsoever that libertarians have any bias towards an invading army? The fundamental principle of libertarian thought is that violence should only be used defensively, so no libertarian would be supporting Putin.
Libertarians believe that trying to impose American values, political ideas, etc. by violence is a bad idea, so they are generally against starting wars in foreign countries and getting Americans killed needlessly.
You sound like somebody just picking groups to blame. Why not consider the role of the Democrats in all of this. They pretend to be anti-Putin, but in reality they aren't. They used fake claims that Putin supported Trump while filling their bank accounts with Russian and Ukrainian money.
The leftists are the people trying to take away your freedom, not the people who are actually on the side of freedom and less government.
“It’s not about politicians. It’s about people and their right of self-determination.”
Shocking how so many are screwed up in the head on that simple and basic idea.
Look at the voting records of the loony ones like Thomas Massie. They ALWAYS vote against the military.
His world view and pattern of behavior is that of a contrarian 14 year old boy, who thinks he knows the best.
So what. Every nation deserves to be able to make its own choices.
Ukraine's mistake was giving up its nuclear weapons.
There are all kinds of “conservatives”. Its a very broad catch-all that includes a vast zoo of philosophies. Its pretty hard to limit whats in the tent because of that. At various times people have described conservatism as not an ideology, but a rejection of ideologies.
I urge everyone interested in actual conservative ideas to pick up a copy of Russel Kirk’s “The Conservative Mind”.
That is factually untrue, but what is wrong with voting against funding for the dumb ideas that politicians wrap up in the military budget? Is CRT training for our entire military a good idea in your mind?
“Ukraine’s mistake was giving up its nuclear weapons.”
The only way nuclear arms are a deterrent is if you’re committed to using them. Russia’s first strike would have been nuclear and the start of World War III.
What happens when we have to do this to a good part of Mexico to remove the influence of China via its proxy the drug cartels...
Like I said, I've never grabbed a pack, helmet, and rifle and gone out on patrol... But I have read a fair amount about how we conducted operations in Iraq in hostile territory. That information is openly available. What worked, what didn't, how things changed and evolved over time as both sides learned. Don't the Russians have an ops manual or at least a plan/guidance for going into hostile territory outlining SOPs???
Between stalled armor columns on exposed roadways telling anyone that passes by they are out of fuel, lack of recon, abandon equipment, tentative pace of advance... Either the Red Army has become incompetent to a shocking degree or Ukraine is doing a good job of publicizing/spinning a few isolated incidents or outright fabricating them.
Maybe this is why Putin was doing so much seemingly un-necessary nuclear saber-rattling. Maybe he knew his forces are eff'd up and the Ukraine campaign was going to be an embarrassment but one he had to endure to keep Ukraine out of NATO. However, fearing western leaders would look at the ineptitude of the Red Army and think "Why shouldn't we head east?" he voiced his nuclear deterrent to keep the western armies from rolling up to his doorstep.
I don't know, the whole thing seems odd, messy, and generally screwed up. You'd think with so many cell phones, and so much connectivity we'd be able to get a decent cumulative idea - lots of BS mixed in - but enough info to separate it. Instead we're getting disjoint, contradictory, and confusing, baffling reports of tactics and strategy that seemingly make no sense.
I have no first hand experience, but people I trust have said that the talk about the US military being overrun by Wokeness is ridiculous.
I agree that some of the recent recruitment ads are silly, but that is solved easily by firing the advertisement agency and the guys in charge of the purchase side, who were probably some Ivy League spawns looking to put military service to their resume.
The US military is the most capable killing machine in the world.
The recent events have shown us that it’s the Russian military who has a huge problem. Even when invading a much weaker nation it turned out a lot of their units have pronouns was/were.
There are plenty - they try to doubt every story that puts the Russians in a bad light - declaring no bodies in pics, Russian could not be that badly trained, the Ukraine army couldn’t possibly take out that many vehicles, fake, and the list goes on.
Look at how Russia was treated and they want an unfriendly country right next door like that one? Ukraine is used by the commie politicians as their money laundering and dirty tricks zone. I feel bad for the civilians caught up in this, but war is always like that. They should rise up and throw out their gov.
Whatever helps you sleep at night. I prefer not to drink the kool-aid.
Goodness. How many of you people are on FR? This is distressing. The owner had better wake up.
Lucas - aka The Prince of Darkness.
“But the real problem was a lack of leadership - leadership that would have been available if the Russian army had a decent program to affirmatively promote minorities, womyn, LGBTQs and transgendered people.”
LOL
Bottle that convoy up by blowing the front and rear, and then open an AT shooting gallery.
“I agree that some of the recent recruitment ads are silly, but that is solved easily by firing the advertisement agency and the guys in charge of the purchase side, who were probably some Ivy League spawns looking to put military service to their resume.”
It’s much deeper than the ads. Generals have been saying the biggest problem in the military is wokeness. That there are enemies in the ranks (white supremist and/or conservatives). All physical standards must be lowered to accommodate women (Marine Corps is being destroyed). Purging ranks based on political beliefs. When Biden said, “conservatives can’t rise up, because we got tanks and fighter jets.” Not one General spoke up against the full use of the military might against the general population.
Sure we have the strongest military, but it is being torn apart by rotten liberal generals. Moral could sink more, but the bottom is close.
