A Russian column was obliterated and corpses were seen lying beside the road. The remains of the Russian military convoy blocked a street in the town of Bucha after the ambush - said to have been carried out by troops armed with NLAW missile launchers.
Artillery and drone strikes are also thought to have been deployed in the attack. Locals civilians are also reported to have helped fight the invaders by throwing petrol bombs.
Putin has had some good moments. This isn’t one of them.
FR is diverse enough to have people with a wide variety of views interact, and that is a good thing.
A few of them even can read articles, and occasionally someone does.
I believe this is a different column. Bucha is about forty miles to the northwest of Kiev.
With constant weapon advances it is difficult to accurately predict what old tactics will work well.
Being tied to a road in enemy held territory at various stages of warfare has been a really bad thing. If all one needs to do is take out a couple of things at the beginning and end of a column to set up an ambush//killing zone, then travelling in a long column may not be a very good idea.
I’m no fan of Soros-funded socialists but Putin is the one who started the shooting. Given the choice, Ukraine is the lesser of two evils.
Well, they spent the last 2 days telling everyone there was a 40 mile long convoy along that road...
Putin is apparently NOT a brilliant commander.
You’ve got 40 miles of troops needing food and water and gasoline. Sitting ducks.

Someone once wrote it is 3 groups.
1. Actual Russian trolls, Russians or Serbs
2. LIBertarians, who do not want military and foreign policy to exist
3. Conservatives so demoralized that they reflexively hate everything America does and everything it supports
They’ve likely mutinied. Ukrainians are leaving them alone for now. Soon it will likely be “40 miles of abandoned vehicles”.
That was February 27, not new
I believe the picture.
I don’t know what constitutes a “column “.
Looks like 4 tanks and some trucks.
Agreed, the lesser evil. But they are also the loser. I like to support a winner or stay out of the fight. If we back them but don’t really support them we are losers too. And, chicken losers. Just like some buddies that let thugs beat the shit out of their friend without stepping in.
Would it change your mind if the US had to actually support Ukraine? I mean other than “rah rah go Zellensky beat those dirty Russians”?
I’ve been seeing that old fart’s cheerleaders on FR for some time.

Watch it with the ‘old’ word around here. Brandon is a stinky fart and Putin is a moon-faced, steroid-using madman who spent 22 years building Russia and pissed it away in a week.
"Liberty" of open borders, both sides. "Liberty" of abortion. "Liberty" of fags' rights. "Liberty" of prostition. "Liberty" of vending machine narcotis.
I did not know they felt that way about the military. Idiots. They're even more radical/obtuse than I imagined.
They parade under the charade of "liberty" but are actually hard core liberals.
Real awesome til someone gets nuked.
Keep cheerleading. While you’re at it, look at who the left supports.
The Russians are violating all small unit level tactics rules. I’m talking basic soldiering concepts one learns in basic combat training.
They apparently suck at security, too.
My fears of the costs of a US-Russian conflict are becoming less scary each day.
They can and do have the weapons tech, but if they’re tactical level leaders are incompetent, it doesn’t matter.
Lucas electrics
Oh, boo hoo. Go pout in the kitchen. You are another chicken who wants to appear to be for self determination but not willing to go to someone else’s war for it. Thankfully. Call me an isolationist, but I don’t frankly care what happens in Ukraine other than they have been messing with Putin like juvenile delinquents and now he is taking them to the woodshed. A brutal and unforgiving neighbor. But they aligned with Germany and that was a mistake, geopolitically. Better luck next time. Not my mistake.
