ATLANTA - Bold carjackers shot at a woman who was slow to give up her car during a Sunday morning Buckhead carjacking.
Fortunately the woman dove out of her car and was not injured.
The alarming attack happened at 8:26am Sunday morning at the intersection of Peachtree and West Paces Ferry Roads.
The female motorist was on East Paces Ferry Road at the red-light when she noticed two men who pulled behind her and jumped out trying to take her Nissan Sentra.
When the woman attempted to drive off, the suspects started firing. The woman dove out of the car, was not hit but surrender the vehicle.
The brazen carjacking has stunned many who live and work in the area.

IMO, the former mayor Sam Massell, who runs the Buckhead Coalition (or used to) and others don’t want to lose Buckhead’s $. So, for all the clout Buckhead residents have, they still do not have enough clout to battle politics. Again, IMO.
Precisely! I hope they move near here (hick town in the same state). If nothing else, they are fun and good people (Georgia fans) to hang out with. Their children are out of the house (but not grown; college), so they need to protect themselves and their posterity.
When my children and grandchildren visit me, I would like to not worry about everyone needing to be armed. My parents and grandparents didn’t have to worry about that. I might have to. Ugh. I already take a gun to the grocery store. My father probably felt the need to carry about 10 times in his entire life, mostly to sports events in the “bad part of town”. We have lost an awful lot of ground.
i lived and worked in Buckhead for 20 years, raised two children, PTAd at the public school. When I decided to sell my house in Buckhead I never looked back. There has always been corruption.

My brother used to show his work in this really snooty uppity gallery in Buckhead. The owner was this insipid liberal (bro is a hard core righty). I visited for a show he was in and thought Buckhead was gorgeous (this was early 00’s), although I found the uppity southern society wives to be quite rude and, frankly, repulsive.
I laugh now, wondering how those women are doing, or if they’ve left for more civilized areas (after ruining the place with their white savior guilt.)
Yeah, Buckhead was the nicest part of Atlanta.

It’s still upscale, and the governor’s mansion is there. Lots of other multi-million dollar mansions. And lots of crime from the usual suspects coming up from the ‘hood.
Oh, it’s very upscale. The people there have nice stuff to steal. The criminals have found it.
HD HQ is about 6.5 miles away from this event, I just looked.
Already dead in the legislature is my understanding. There were a bunch of tough issues.
