WE ARE STILL IMPORTING 595,000 RUSSIAN OIL BARRELS PER DAY
Pacific Pundit ^ | February 23, 2022

The green nutters in this country, like basically all Democrats are obviously on the side of Russia. While they prevent oil drilling and fracking on US lands, and Biden kills the Keystone XL pipeline, this country continues to import nearly 600,000 barrels of Russian oil per day. You have to ask yourself, why the hell are we still important Russian oil with the “threat of war” with the Ukraine, if Putin is such a baddie?

The answer is simple. As is the case with communist China, communist Democrats love Russia and envy Putin. They would never cut off his oil import and actually allow Americans produce more of their own crude oil. Biden has to protect his corrupt son’s financial stake in both Russia and the Ukraine.

Time for a total trade embargo. If that means I pay $10 a gallon for gas while helping to crush Putin then so be it.

Oil, like cash, is fungible. If Russia can’t sell direct, it will be instead sold to China, or some other 3rd party, then sold to the U.S. Marked up along the way, of course.

What is Hunter’s other laptop for 500,000 barrels of oil a day?

It doesn’t matter where oil is bought and sold and from whom.

It’s like worrying over which 7/11 you bought a Coke at.

Oil is fungible.

Agree.

If I have to pay $500.00 more over three years for an iPhone built by Americans instead of with communist slave labor, I'm for that too.

We tried the cheap foreign labor route, and we see where that got us.

It seems obvious that the reason why Europe and, to a lesser degree the United States, that our foolishness with energy is one of the reasons why Russia has leverage over the world economy.

For example: putting all of your eggs in the renewable energy basket, wind and solar, makes an economy vulnerable because wind and solar do not live up their promises. They simply can't because they are not reliable. It doesn't take an educated person to understand that wind and solar are transient. When the wind stops blowing or the sun is not out or is not as intense, which is a major portion of the day, these renewables are useless.

Demand for energy continues to climb and you need an on-demand form of energy that can fill in the gaps when wind and solar fail such as nuclear or natural gas or coal.

So Dementia Joe kills the oil pipelines, cancels oil drilling on federal lands, but then eagerly imports 600,000 barrels of oil a day from Russia and pays them in dollars, while talking about removing Russia from SWIFT?
What a joke Biden is.

Do you have any idea what $10 gas does to the working poor. Your policy would actually take food off those families’ tables. That’s no leftist BS either, I’ve been in that situation before. Your policy will truly unleash inflation for all. All that to replace Putin with another Russian strongman. Brilliant!

The other solution is that companies like Apple would look for ways to make their products more affordable. That is the promise of a free market system.

Do we really need 5 cameras which are mega-mega pixels and can play 4K video?

I think Putin had the goods on biden and his family and other politicians. For all we know russia helped steal the election along with china. His payment for helping was biden let’s him have his pipeline and ukraine. Wondering if china will end up taking Taiwan. I think the sanctions biden is doing is posturing. All for show. I still can’t believe he shuts our pipeline down and lets russia have there’s.

Right, an embargo would simply cost the USA money and not affect Russia at all.

And Biden keeps increasing Russia’s market share with his policies and therefore their wealth.

They certainly buy gas. it wouldn’t surprise me if they buy oil. It’s all just world class virtue signaling with the talk of these sanctions.
