It seems obvious that the reason why Europe and, to a lesser degree the United States, that our foolishness with energy is one of the reasons why Russia has leverage over the world economy.

For example: putting all of your eggs in the renewable energy basket, wind and solar, makes an economy vulnerable because wind and solar do not live up their promises. They simply can't because they are not reliable. It doesn't take an educated person to understand that wind and solar are transient. When the wind stops blowing or the sun is not out or is not as intense, which is a major portion of the day, these renewables are useless.

Demand for energy continues to climb and you need an on-demand form of energy that can fill in the gaps when wind and solar fail such as nuclear or natural gas or coal.

Agreed. And by now it should be obvious why Russia and the jihad nations heavily donate to green lobbyists, including universities that push us to be energy dependent (in the name of "going green").

I see it clear as day...and I'm the one who put a large solar system onto my house. Just like America should be energy independent from the rest of the world, I've made my personal budget to have some independence from the Democrats jacking up our energy costs to worship gaia's unicorn farts. It's not enough to take me off grid power-wise. But it'll pay for itself in 10-12 years, including paying the interest on the HELOC I took out to pay for it (and that assumes only a 3% inflation rate in energy costs). If I could produce oil or natural gas from my land I would, because that's much more efficient and dependable. But I can produce electricity from solar in substantial ways, even if it's not dependable 100%. So this past winter when I'd normally complain heavily about electricity prices and natural gas prices going way up --- not this year. My now all-electric house has over half of the power supplied "for free" from the solar system.

That's what I'd like for America --- to being back to energy independent like we were with Trump.

Joe’s handlers killed the XL oil pipeline that would have delivered ~ 830,000 barrels per day .. then cancelled oil leases from New Mexico to Alaska.. ignored a federal judge, too..
