Time for a total trade embargo. If that means I pay $10 a gallon for gas while helping to crush Putin then so be it.

It doesn’t matter where oil is bought and sold and from whom.

It’s like worrying over which 7/11 you bought a Coke at.

Oil is fungible.

It seems obvious that the reason why Europe and, to a lesser degree the United States, that our foolishness with energy is one of the reasons why Russia has leverage over the world economy.

For example: putting all of your eggs in the renewable energy basket, wind and solar, makes an economy vulnerable because wind and solar do not live up their promises. They simply can't because they are not reliable. It doesn't take an educated person to understand that wind and solar are transient. When the wind stops blowing or the sun is not out or is not as intense, which is a major portion of the day, these renewables are useless.

Demand for energy continues to climb and you need an on-demand form of energy that can fill in the gaps when wind and solar fail such as nuclear or natural gas or coal.

So Dementia Joe kills the oil pipelines, cancels oil drilling on federal lands, but then eagerly imports 600,000 barrels of oil a day from Russia and pays them in dollars, while talking about removing Russia from SWIFT?
What a joke Biden is.

I think Putin had the goods on biden and his family and other politicians. For all we know russia helped steal the election along with china. His payment for helping was biden let’s him have his pipeline and ukraine. Wondering if china will end up taking Taiwan. I think the sanctions biden is doing is posturing. All for show. I still can’t believe he shuts our pipeline down and lets russia have there’s.

And Biden keeps increasing Russia’s market share with his policies and therefore their wealth.

"WE ARE STILL IMPORTING 595,000 RUSSIAN OIL BARRELS PER DAY"

Anyone have a source for daily import data?

Here is monthly data, but no updates for 2022: https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=MTTIM_NUS-NRS_1&f=M

If current daily data exists, it might be hiding somewhere on the same website.

Imported from Siberia via tankers to west coat? If so, California would be hardest hit…

Guessing Russians are replacing diminishing supplies from Alaskan pipeline.

California has a long history of preventing pipelines and alternative oil and gas supplies. This could be a wake up call like the one Germany just got.
