Fairly heavy losses for such a short time frame................
See my Comment #40. Do those figures seem valid to you or are they just propaganda?
“Here is a list of Russian military losses I found this morning. Is this heavy losses?”

Could be, but these aren’t anything official. I’d consider any numbers coming out of the conflict as propaganda, akin to the exaggerated “kill ratio/count” the Pentagon would offer up on a regular basis during Vietnam.
Russians haven't seriously assaulted Kharkiv or Kyiv. Its all relative. In the Iraq War we lost 4,500 servicemen. We obviously care more for individual loses.
“adding that Russia’s losses were “many times” fewer than those of Ukraine’s forces.”

Just as Ukraine will say the same. Eastasia has more losses than us, even though we’ve always been at war with Eastasia.
I hate to say it, but you can’t regard it as factual. Both sides are making up a fair amount of false stories. Even these interviews with captured Russian soldiers...half of those might be totally faked-up.
You tube has a great video showing a farmer hooking his tractor up to a Russian APC and driving off with it
This is from a Ukrainian news service. Their first "data" was 3500, two days ago out of the blue, and they have been incrementing it every day. I don't trust it one bit. Where are all these bodies?
Ok..now check on Russia’s supporting actors abd you have a winner.

Morale is a fragile thing. If a side thinks it’s about to lose, even if it is, in reality, about to win, all heart will go out of its fighters, and its formations will start to crumble. No one wants to be the last to die for a losing cause.
In Vietnam, post-war interviews indicate that the North Vietnamese leadership was about to give up the fight because it had just taken too many casualties. Leaders can get war weary. But the rank and file can also be infected. Near the end of WWI, Germany was close to starvation and German soldiers were surrendering in droves without much of a fight. At home, Marxist revolution was in the air, much as Lenin had staged Red October in Moscow less than a year earlier. No one knows how close the North Vietnamese public was to cracking, with perhaps the entire regime being killed and all-out civil war ensuing, but the fact is even a regime with what looked like a winning hand in South Vietnam was teetering. So in Ukraine, it is necessary, on both sides, to project an image of steady progress, so the men risking their lives don’t lose heart and decide they are better off leaving the field of battle and finding jobs in the EU.
