The White House held a brainstorming session on how to combat climate “denialism and delay” even as the Russian invasion of Ukraine fueled pressure on President Biden to end his crackdown on domestic oil-and-gas production.
The White House released Friday a readout from the previous day’s first-ever roundtable discussion held by the Office of Science and Technology Policy [OSTP] on “the scientific understanding of why arguments for delaying action on climate change are appealing and how they can be countered effectively.”
“It’s clear that a variety of special interests have had a vested interest in sowing doubt on climate change and feeding denialism and delay,” said White House senior adviser Neera Tanden in a statement. “We need to confront that reality.”
The two-hour virtual session illustrated the disconnect between the White House’s determination to push its climate agenda and rising GOP calls for Mr. Biden to lift restrictions on U.S. fossil-fuel development blamed for strengthening the hand of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“America must reclaim our energy independence to deter Vladimir Putin!” tweeted Sen. Bill Hagerty, Tennessee Republican. “President Biden must end his war on American energy NOW!”

The real “denialism” problem is in the White House. Denial about Putin, the economy, the border, the Administration’s own corruption, Biden’s dementia, and I could list all day.
Maybe a light shower if not just a little mist…

The current regime in Washington has such severe myopia they cannot see beyond their own noses.
The whole scheme behind “climate change” is not to affect the climate in any way, shape, form or manner. It is to shame and guilt the general population into obedience and conformity, the better to “manage” resources, which means, mostly, strict and highly targeted distribution of those resources to the favored persons or institutions.
The most powerful sanction that could possibly be brought against Putin, and to a lesser degree, against the Chinese Communist Party regime, is to make the US into the largest exporter of energy, as petroleum, natural gas and yes, even coal, undercutting prices from everywhere else in the world.
But to expect the current regime of Joe Stolen/”Que mala” Harris to even entertain this notion is to ask the sun not to rise in the east each morning. some things are sacred in their view of the world, and “climate change” is still one of their best weapons in debate and imposing of their will.
The USA will be bankrupt before any of Obama’s mansions are flooded.
Gee, this is so complicated. How about we hold China, Russia and other polluting countries accountable by not providing loans or other funding until they change their ways. Meanwhile we keep focusing on cleaner oil and gas production, which we are already the best at in the world.
Starve the beast and our adversaries will fall into line.

Putin’s biggest friend in the world has to now be Biden, as it sounds like Biden now wants to Eastern Europe to him, and possibly Germany, depending on how far we take this environmental fantasy.
COVID is winding down as a justification for government authoritarian. Whites are getting tired of being called racists. Next on the list is climate.
Study Physics, Astrophysics and the history of the weather for the last million years or so. They are so far off base its unbelievable. Flat Earthers are closer to reality.
