Kremlin website is DOWN: Russian state websites including media watchdog crash and TV channels 'are hacked to broadcast Ukrainian songs'
Daily Mail ^ | February 26, 2021 | Jack Wright

Russian government websites including the official Kremlin and media regulator pages are down, in what could be the first round of tit-for-tat cyberattacks after the West furiously condemned warmonger Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

Ukraine’s telecoms agency also announced that Russian TV channels had been hacked to broadcast Ukrainian songs, the Kyiv Independent reported on Saturday afternoon.

Just hours before Russia’s tyrant launched his aggressive war to ‘demilitarise’ and ‘de-Nazify’ Ukraine, Kyiv was hit by a ‘massive’ cyberattack targeting its government and banks.

he websites of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service, and Cabinet of Ministers were all out of action Wednesday afternoon.

Bomb threats were also phoned in to several government buildings, thought to be part of a psychological pressure campaign by Moscow.

The Russian president’s war appears not to be going to plan due to Kremlin ‘overconfidence’, poor tactical planning, and ‘shock’ at the fierce resistance put up by brave Ukrainians fighting for national survival, intelligence sources have claimed.

We’ve got a cougar working the area. I was gonna go out in the woods later and play some predator calls. You’ve got me leaning toward this, now:

Ah Laz! You is disappointing me. You know that if Putey hears the phrase, “I’d hit it!” he will interpret that to mean the red button on his desk. C’mon man!

Hopefully the sensible and sane members of the Russian military will stop him.

This is Russia. Do you know what that means if they "stop" him. Look at what happened to Czar Nicholas II.

Russia’s cyberattacks prove they have good offense. But reports of Russian websites and Russian televsion channels being hacked proves they don’t have good defense.

Maybe more deliberate than foolish. Biden’s handlers may be quite fine with us enduring more misery in the form of inactive ATMs and hacked oil pipelines during this crisis.

It looks like Putin tried the same approach as Soviets 1968 in Prague and 1979 in Kabul.
Take the capital city airport, land special forces there, Send them to take over the government figures and the strategical points.
Install puppet regime and overran the rest of the country with mass of poorly trained foot soldiers.
This has obviously failed already, as Ukrainian forces more-less neutralized these special forces to few isolated groups.
No mass landing of transport planes were possible.
So now, Russia military options are reduced to a long slough, probably looking for a lot of street fighting in Kyiv.
Nothing Russians are good at.
If this goes for a while, the Russians will probably run out of money/resources/will.
And, what Ukraine is counting on, that the Western/Nato forces will be outraged and come to their help ultimately.
It is starting to go that way.

Certainly. I doubt it'll come to that. Not enough troops so it appears that Putin's objective is brief and limited. If he was going to occupy the country, he'll need at least 500,000 troops. Putin's maneuvers before the invasion surprised me. I thought it was all bluff. Maybe he'll send troops to Donetsk and Luhansk but that would be it.

Invasion of Ukraine?

A Russian coup seems like the likely outcome.

Secure the nukes for sure.

http://en.kremlin.ru/ does appear to be down as of right now. I like to verify these sorts of claims especially during a war. No Ukrainian song, but the website is currently unavailable.

At this point, Volodymyr Zelenskyy needs to survive. The Russians are trying to capture him. As long as he is alive, he is able to galvanize the Ukrainian population to fight the Russians. It is still early though. Fog of war and all that. We’ll see what happens in the next couple of weeks. But it would be in Russia’s interest to capture Kyiv quickly. I am not sure what is their plan B if their advance halts. They could probably stop and then surround Kyiv and allow the defenders to starve. But the Russians would be vulnerable to attacks if they have to maintain a large perimeter and they are not moving quickly to seize their objectives.

This is not the first time this has been done. In 1945 while assigned to the 1104 Engineer Combat Battalion, 78th Infantry Division as a combat engineer and waiting for a battle at which both sides could be seen by each other, a soldier climbed a pole and attached speakers to it on top, wired it, and attached it to a phonograph. He hen started playing Al Jolson records so the enemy could hear them. Mel Brooks.

Putin is like Stalin. That's not in the cards unless you manage to defeat him militarily.

This is hilarious.

Think this won’t play on Putin’s mind.

He needs to feel strong, respected, powerful...

This makes him look laughable and impotent.
