Attention rural Coloradans who for generations have felt trod upon or taken for granted, abused or just ignored by your state leaders on the civilized Front Range: Shut up and sit down, you’re just imagining things.
So believes Gov. Polis, who is up for reelection and dishing out profoundly idiotic gibberish that we are not all of Colorado without all of Colorado.
...
PeakNation™ will remember former state Rep. Cole Wist of Centennial who was a Democrat before he switched to the Republican Party to get elected years ago, then switched to independent after leaving office, and now seems to be acting as Polis’s mouthpiece.
Wist thinks all this talk about some kind of war on the rural west is just a cheap political slogan — delusional tales told by greedy mountain folks who won’t share their water, fabrications by hallucinating ranchers who imagine wolves are feeding on their cattle rather than daisies and lollipops.
Instead of dividing us all into camps of 72 different genders, or race, religion, labor unions, and political ideology, Wist and Polis want rural Coloradans to stop being so divisive and identify themselves as Boulderites.
For obvious reasons, neither of their tweets went over well.
...
Polis and Wist weren’t without their supporters, like this one, who agreed there was no rural and urban divide.
The problem is that people who don’t live in cities are just a bunch of white racists.
polis was the last straw for me. I moved out of Colorado in 2021 after over 50 years there.
And folks find a homosexual governor credible spokesman for the citizens of the state?
I just moved even further west in Colorado and everything is great. Good luck with your new location as well.
I’m 10 miles from Boulder. I try my best never to go near the place. I do go to McGuckin’s Hardware.
Spineless, whiny, violent progressives, hiding behind armed men and desperately wanting to disarm you.
I would tell you my nickname for the Governor, but I would get banned.
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
My goal is to never go east of the Continental Divide again.
So far so good, it’s been about 4 years.
Which one?
There at least three and I believe 4
Live in Mesa County CO, 240 miles west of Denver. Mesa County is firmly in the conservative camp ... although our local rag the Grand Junction Sentinel is more suited to a Boulder readership. The one county on the front range, where I lived at one time, El Paso County which encompasses Colo. Springs is conservative. Mesa County & El Paso County are the two most conservative counties in terms of population in the state. Several rural counties in eastern Colorado trend conservative but lack the population to have much influence in state wide elections.
Multiple counties are considering joining e.g. Wyoming.
If you don't stand and fight, you will soon find no place left to hide.
If we can't defeat his money in this next race, at least we can win back a majority in one or both houses to stifle his Marxist agenda.
Under Bixiden didn’t the BLM move out of Grand Junction and back to DC?
Good for you on staying on the correct side of the divide! I had to restart my avoidance clock as I had to pass through Denver to attend MIL funeral in Midwest last December.
I remember fifty years ago when Colorado was a great place to live and the most popular Bumper Sticker was...
“DON’T CALIFORNICATE COLORADO!”
Well, it has been and now they are moving in on New Mexico.
bkmk
Left CO in 2021 also...After 46 years, and the fat assed weasel Polis and the vapid CO Republican Party were both major reasons...
When I was young I delivered The Daily Sentinel for several years. The folks over at the Grand Junction Sentinel seem to have consumed some far left kool aid. (Also its website crashes my iPad)
