Did a federal court just reveal Biden's Supreme Court nominee?

(CNN)With only a few days left in February, court watchers are trying to read tea leaves as to the identity of President Joe Biden's pick for the Supreme Court before his end-of-the-month deadline -- and a federal court on Thursday increased the buzz around DC Circuit Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.

The US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit deviated from its typical procedure by issuing an opinion on a Thursday -- breaking with its usual schedule of Tuesday and Friday release days. Notably, Jackson -- who has interviewed with Biden for the Supreme Court nomination -- was in the majority in the 2-1 ruling case.

When I see a headline that ends with a question mark, I assume the answer is “no” and keep on scrolling. Especially when its a CNN headline.
My criticism is against CNN, not you, RummyChick.

They make a case for it if you read the article and it is plausible. Similar to what happened with Kavanaugh.

I think it’s that South Carolina woman Graham likes. They’d get enough GOP votes anyway to avoid a tie, but Graham will grease the skids for 20-30 to vote for her, since his publicly stated his support.

Legal philosophy
In January 2022, The Washington Post said[who?] that Jackson had “not yet written a body of appeals court opinions expressing a legal philosophy,” because she had joined the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit in the summer of 2021. However, Jackson’s earlier rulings “comported with those of a liberal-leaning judge,” including her opinions blocking various Trump administration actions.[9]

According to NBC News, “Jackson fits well with the Democratic Party and the progressive movement’s agenda” due to her relative youth, background as a public defender, and history of labor-friendly rulings.[46]

She’s a liberal, no doubt, but she’s not a nut like Sotomayor. And keep in mind, she’s replacing Breyer, not Scalia. I’m not sure it would be a safe bet to say she’s to the left of Breyer.

Watch her senate circuit confirmation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VGWyHbXTfg She seems friendly, and the Law Review types - Cruz, Hawley, Cotton, Lee - couldn’t lay a finger on her.

If true, conservatives should chalk it up as a minor victory.
