Vladimir Putin doesn’t want me to be President. He doesn’t want me to be our nominee. If you’re wondering why — it’s because I’m the only person in this field who’s ever gone toe-to-toe with him.— Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) February 21, 2020

So I guess they were wrong about the Wednesday part.

Looks like they left air and sea to defend the homeland against the big guys. Maybe some Tomahawk action is warranted for Moscow. I’d move NATO into Kalingrad as well and kick them out of that little chunk.

Satellite photos show that now Russia has Ukraine virtually surrounded. Russian forces are not just around the eastern flank anymore. Belarus is helping them because Belarus is a puppet state of Russia.

What a vile, despicable man.

Since Vlad challenges a country with such an unequal ability to defend itself, he's basically cast a glove in the face of ALL other nations in Europe and Vlad thumbs his nose at Joe Biden.

It has to be taken in that light. There is no way to tap dance around that.

The basis of all this is the Liberal leaders we've put in the WH and who are PROUD of the US inclination and avowed intention to get and stay militarily and politically WEAK. That has been the signal Liberal US leaders have sent and of course, if the Russians don't capitalize on it NOW, they never will!

Who could be surprised by this?

When will the plane loads of Ukrainian refugees/voters start landing here?

Unlike Washington, Moscow actually has some pretty serious missile defenses. And Dead Hand is still in operation as best we can tell.

Also, it’s still winter in Europe. NATO is going to dither and hold the line in Poland at best. They know that if they go against the Russians, the Russians turn off the gas taps and NATO countries start to freeze.

I’m sure the Fifth Column Enemedia is popping open the champagne and celebrating today. This is their bread and butter, after all.

It also allows them to send inconvenient things like the Freedom Convoy/People’s Convoy down the memory hole, because, after all, a foreign war is far more important, and it takes an awful lot of energy to coordinate all the constant lies...

Yes they have that ring of sites around Moscow but those are designed for ballistic missiles. Same goes for Patriot type systems.

One statement that was made in passing during tonight’s media coverage, but which was profound, was that Russia has by far the largest nuclear arsenal in existence. Wait a minute…what happened to all of those nuclear disarmament treaties that were touted in years past? We were told that Russia was abiding by them, and of course (as we always do) we dutifully destroyed many of our own missiles, warheads, and launchers in compliance with the agreements. That should have brought both sides to equal, reduced numbers, yet here we are with Russia having a numerical advantage. They may also have a qualitative advantage because they have continued to modernize their missile forces while ours were allowed to languish.

I helped build the MX (Peacekeeper) ICBM many years ago, and was really distressed to see them destroyed under START, because I knew that the Russians would never actually comply with their treaty obligations. We destroyed our most capable weapons, while they have gone on to build newer, more capable generations of theirs.

Heating can be mitigated to some degree though it would be painful and mostly only have a month to go for the worst of it. Cost of doing business.

Quick, airdrop thousands of American ghetto rats and ghettopotami into Ukraine. Our crime rate will plummet and the resulting diversity will make Ukraine stronger (or so I’m told…constantly). Sounds like a win-win to me.

They’ve been upgraded in the last decade as surface skimmer missiles became more common on the world arms markets.

https://www.ainonline.com/aviation-news/defense/2019-06-26/russia-modernize-moscow-missile-defense

Their S-350s are designed for short to medium range defense against helis, aircraft, UAVs and surface skimmer cruise missiles. The Russians also have constant look-down optical and thermal surveillance of their own country, so they’ll know they’re coming, and none of our cruise missiles are supersonic - unlike theirs. They’ll have a long time to get ready. Tomahawks aren’t stealthy.
