DEFEATED! Now Conservatives must never let any Canadian forget that
1) Trudeau’s justification for the Emergency Powers Act included all sorts of powers that he already had,
2) Granted him all sorts of powers that he couldn’t use only because of his defeat, and
3) Had absolutely no basis in law. He must be impeached. If the Queen allows Trudeau and Prince Andrew to remain free men, she must be rid of.
Wonder how much money banks lost during that? I bet folks will be pulling their money out faster than Canada can print new ones.
I hope so. And I hope Trudeauscú is on the losing end of it.
Let’s be real... if this were because Mission Accomplished, why did he submit it to the Senate just two days earlier? If it were going to pass the Senate, why not wait just a few days to see what else shook out?

The Act’s passage is stalled in the Senate who I think are delaying their vote so they do not have to get their hands dirty (which might, in part, describe why Castreau just “blinked”)
I dunno about that. He had a lot of support in the Senate. When those in opposition spoke, there was little reaction. When those in favor spoke, there were rounds of applause.
We’ll never know now since they won’t vote on it.
Sadly, no way in Hell. Trudeau’s party is actually the Center-Left one. The NDP is communist. Their leader, Jagmeet Singh, has been ridiculously over the top, saying nonsense like the Nazis have come to topple Canadian democracy and must be crushed like foreign invaders.

My guess is that the Canadian banks have had $ billions pulled out of both their Canadian and foreign accounts. As the banks make up 20% of the TSE, I believe, the banks ‘squealed like a pig’ about the dictatorial act. Not so much about the Act (as so many big biz types in Canada support the Liebeals), as how the loss of investment will EFFECT THEIR BONUSES!
If Trudeau wanted to destroy Canada’s economy, he was spectacularly successful! The results will be observed over the next few years.
Perhaps, even more important to him, the list of contributors to the Freedom Convoy funds, was turned over to the little dictator. He has his ‘ENEMIES LIST’, for the NEXT TIME he enacts the ‘Emergencies Act’.
