China has grown at extraordinary growth rates. It just barely trails the US GDP. Sure it is slowing down, but it has achieved a huge economy and will surpass the US at some point.

Russian GDP is that of Spain. They will not be a threat but more of a nuisance.

Good points. The greatest mistake Putin has made is to put Russia on the path to becoming a Chinese vassal.

Russia will never be more than a very junior partner in its alliance with China.
