President Joe Biden hit Fox reporter Peter Doocy with a dose of sarcasm after he asked the president if he underestimated Putin. "The thing I love about the press is they're always on message," Biden said at a Tuesday afternoon minerals event. He then joked to those participating virtually, "Did YOU underestimate Putin?" Biden was in a more jovial mood at the afternoon gathering in the South Court Auditorium after having already announced the new Russian sanctions. "Hi everybody. How are you? Gavin, how are you, man?" he said upon entering. Newsom told Biden, "I'm impressed. I am impressed. Thank you for not canceling on us." Biden suggested that wasn't in the cards. "Oh, are you kidding me? We don't have much going on, you know, other than Russia and Ukraine and - anyway, Should we start? I guess I'm starting, huh? I guess I already started," he said laughing. Biden's comments aimed at Doocy came as the press was being asked to leave so the meeting could continue sans reporters. Right before journalists departed, Biden indicated he still had Putin on the brain remarking to Newsom that California's economy is bigger than the size of Russia's. Newsom corrected him saying, "Twice. It's twice the size, Mr. President." "Twice. Yeah, I know," Biden said. The governor noted that California had the 5th largest economy in the world, "So treat us well," he added. "But who's paying attention, right?" Biden joked.

You guys don’t get it, Putin declaring parts of Ukraine independent and then moving in with troops is him just walking into the delicate trap Biden has set for him. You will see. So thankful we have adults in charge again!

Well Obamas administration is operating under Biden so they’re just carrying on with what Obama desires just the same. By answering them you create responses and discussion. If you don’t, then it’s a signal to the press to drop the subject, and the questions lose oxygen and die

I heard something that really spooked me on The Five yesterday. Three people who have dealt with Putin in the past have said, this is NOT the same Putin I dealt with. Something is different. Looks like both our president and Putin are not dealing with a full deck.
