The elderly woman who was reportedly injured when police on horseback rode through a crowd of Freedom Convoy protesters Friday evening has been identified as Candice "Candy" Sero. She is reportedly a full-blood Mohawk woman who lives in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory in Hastings County, Ontario.
Sero reportedly suffered a broken clavicle from the trampling.

Doubt that she expected that to happen. The police had herded the crowd into a fairly tight space, and then they rode the horses right on through, starting with a column of two and broadening to three at the end.
I saw an one of the early videos, where she was simply on the edge of the crowd (probably because she was short and wanted to be able to see) and a horse sideswiped her and her scooter, knocking it over. The horse then brushed against the guy in the brown jacket, virtually dragging him into the street, where he fell and another horse appeared to be spooked and either stepped on him or hit him with its rear left hoof.
I have no idea what happened to him and nobody has mentioned him.
I did see a video of somebody in a brown jacket like his being dragged by the cops back through the police line and then being beaten in the head with a rifle or long weapon of some kind (muzzle down so it would hurt more and be more damaging). But I don’t know if it was the same person.

Having owned and ridden many horses, it’s a pretty well established fact that a horse will do all in its power to avoid stepping on a person. The photo appears to show the mountie backing his horse over the victim, which is intentional; and the horse could not see to avoid it.
