UK Seeks State-by-State Trade Deals as Biden Sends Brexit Britain to Back of Queue......
Breitbart ^ | 2/20/2022 | Kurt Zindulka

United Kingdom will reportedly seek to strike a swath of trade agreements 'with individual American states' in order to boost commerce while the Biden administration drags its feet on a post-Brexit deal between the two countries.

During his first White House meeting with President Biden, Prime Minister Boris Johnson was told that the Democrat administration would not commit to signing a post-Brexit trade deal with Britain before the 2024 election....Biden reportedly told Johson that he had “a lot of fish to fry” and therefore a trade deal was not a top priority.

In stark contrast to Trump, Biden has consistently opposed Brexit, much like his old boss, former president Barack Obama, who infamously weighed in before the Brexit referendum to warn Britons that they would be put to the “back of the queue” should they vote to Leave the European Union.

Nigel Farage said that Biden “is keener on the relationship with Ireland than he is with us, sees Brexit as a mistake and I do not see any prospect of a free trade deal with the USA under President Joe Biden.”

Is there a friend or foe country, other than China, that Joe isn’t hacking off?

Was the Constitution meant to be a suicide pact? I can’t believe we are allowing a vegetable with a cabal of global criminals behind him to destroy us.

God it is sad.

“Is there a friend or foe country, other than China, that Joe isn’t hacking off?”

To be fair, it’s probably not really HIM; his handlers/masters obviously want the UK to be punished for leaving the fold.

I'm all for this but can an individual state make an agreement with another sovereign country?

Wouldn't that be a 'treaty'?

Well Trump was all set to do a huge deal with the UK....so naturally Biden’s going to do just the opposite. Dems certainly are on a destructive path everywhere.

Trust me I can feel your pain!.....But it’s interesting that the UK is bypassing Biden and will do trade deals with US states Individually. Makes me wonder if the Blue states will agree or follow Biden.

I’m not sure how that works...but an interesting question if they can do this.

It isn’t Brandon’s business. What’s done is done. Having a hissey fit isn’t going to change it. Treating one of our closest allies as a second rate trade partner is just plain wrong.

Found this....

Except as limited by the Constitution, the several states may enter into any compact, agreement or other arrangement as they choose, provided, the states cannot limit or surrender by such compact or agreement, the sovereign rights of the people.

Hopefully some Attorneys will comment on this thread about states being able to do business with the UK separate from Biden’s approval.

No doubt Biden and his destroyers don’t see this as wrong.....and obvious unconcerned. This administration is hell bent on ruining this country and weakening every aspect of it.

I thought they did that all the time. Economic deals always happen.

Why would it be a treaty? We have private trade deals all the time. People don’t always need the permission of government to do something.

Interesting, didn't know that. Thanks.

Surely things like tarriffs which are the obstacles to trade between countries without a FTA are set at the federal level?

Shades of One World Odor...

Biden’s brain is nothing but faerie dust these days.

Oh I think Biden has sufficient cognitive ability to know what’s going on. Although he stumbles around in his vocabulary etc. ....But He knows what decisions he’s making domestically and on the world stage. I’m not going to let him off the hook because he slips off the rails periodically

Further if Harris becomes President that’ would be far worse than anything we’ve seen already.
