Although this tune is associated with New Orleans, it was recorded in LA.

Fats Domino plays the piano on this New Orleans classic.
Lawdy, Miss Clawdy--Lloyd Price (1952)

There are some who argue that this opus by a New Orleans artist is the first rock and roll song.

Hello Kathy, TGIF, for me, literally. Tonight’s music obviously is Mardi Gras themed. Good music, great event.
Went there back in ‘75 when I was still single, and hadn’t cracked 30 yet. Had a friend that was attending Tulane law school and invited me. Spent a couple of weeks. BEST party I ever attended. NEVER PAUSED! I’d tell ya all about it but there’s already too much filth and perversion on the internet.
Keep the Faith.
