Former President Donald Trump, who repeatedly called Black Lives Matter protesters “thugs” and “anarchists,” said there’s “a lot of respect” for the overwhelmingly white truckers who blocked streets in the Canadian capital and shut down border crossings with the U.S. to oppose COVID-19 restrictions.
To Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, the truckers who parked bumper to bumper are “heroes” fighting for a righteous cause. Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity sent “solidarity, love and support” to the drivers, who also defied police orders to clear Ottawa’s streets and ignored a court order forbidding them from blaring their horns. GOP Sen. Rand Paul encouraged them to head south and “clog” streets in the U.S.
The embrace of the truckers by some of the nation’s most prominent conservative voices has drawn new accusations of hypocrisy and allegations that GOP leaders apply a racist double standard to large protests, including the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol involving a mostly white crowd of Trump supporters.
“This shows again that there is just an unequal right to express dissent in the United States,” said Karen Pita Loor, a professor at Boston University’s School of Law. She called conservatives’ support “two-faced,” saying that conservatives appear to support a white, conservative rights movement, but “when you have Black Lives Matter protesters on the street that are ‘thugs,’ they scare you.”

No news story about the GOP is complete without also including the word racist. Racist has been used so much, it no longer holds any real meaning to most people.

Again there hasn’t been any looting or destruction or violence on the part of the Truckers.
Frankly I’d point out the hypocrisy of Trudeau and the media here but that isn’t even hypocrisy for them anymore. It’s just par for the course.

If they can not see the difference between a peaceful protest and a riot then there is no reason to listen to them.
There’s a slight difference in blocking streets in protest (truckers) and in breaking into, stealing and burning businesses (BLM).....
So, who is the racist again? I can’t tell with all this hate.
Lessee - Truckers are protesting for individual freedom; Black Lives Matter are avowed Marxists.

How many shootings happened at the Ottawa Trucker Protest, and how many stores were looted and burned.
Now ask the same questions of the Summer of Love protests.

Trump’s economy recorded the lowest unemployment rates for people of color in our nation’s history. The best economic growth.
What has Deep State given people of color: record high unemployment, sky high inflation and soaring housing costs, failing publik skrewls that muzzle their kids...and crack pipes.

Most vackseen injuries come from a few bad batches. Yet, nobody is calling for the vackseen to be taken off the market. We only want to see the mandates lifted. A few bad cops? Gotta overthrow the whole system.
But people of color must be on to all this...
Or Deep State wouldn’t have to steal elections and disenfranchise millions of their votes.
Some people see racist double standards in everything.
As absurd and intellectually bankrupt as it gets - and this person is a professor. People parked in the street equals murder, violent assault, looting, arson, etc (not to mention all of the corruption and extreme views of the platform of this organization). If support parking in the street as a form of protest, but oppose the latter violent and evil actions, you are a racist.
Another example of how people are more stupid for having attended institutions of 'higher learning' - being taught by people like this.
Double standard:
BLM: Riots, killings, burning and looting
Freedom Convoy: Peaceful, no rioting, patriots
Definitely racist motivation but unless you support the left 100% you’re racist.
I strongly support the trucker’s goal to end the government mandates that force people to have experimental, not always effective, and sometimes dangerous drugs injected into their bodies against their will.
However, I do not support the truckers blocking the bridges. The protests are supposed to be about freedom, and they should respect the freedom of others who do want to cross those bridges.
