OP Senator Rick Scott, an ally of former President Trump, reiterated that he’ll support Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to lead Senate Republicans again after the midterm elections.

On this question, he differs from Trump, who frequently bashes McConnell — earlier this month, he said McConnell “does not speak for the Republican Party, and does not represent the views of the vast majority of its voters.”

Scott, who has to balance a relationship with Trump and McConnell in his role as chair of the the Republican Senate campaign arm, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, said in an interview on CBS News that he would “absolutely” vote for McConnell to be leader again in November.

With a handful of exceptions (Rand Paul, Paul Gosar, Louie Ghomert, etc.) I still think anybody elected prior to 2020 needs to be shown the door.

As I’ve said on other threads, if a Republican isn’t already a Rino when they are elected, they will be if they stay in Washington, D.C. long enough. Looks like Scott was turned in his first term.

McConnell only need a majority of Republican Senators. He’ll have zero problem getting that.

Great job Florida. I’m sure Rubio and Scott will glide right back to DC with no issues.

Rubio is up for reelection in 2022 and Scott in 2024 so we're stuck with him for two more years.

I'm in Florida and hopefully there'll be a republican on the Aug 23 primary ballot that I can support over Rubio. I'd dearly love to get both him and Scott out of office.

Ditch Mitch, in fact ditch the entire useless GOP. Form a MAGA party and starve the GOP to death. They want use to starve to death under their buddy Joe Biden.

Mitch tried to hold the line on spending, but some guy said $600 handouts were too small so Georgia chose Democrats willing to hand out $2000 as senators.

Mitch is very upset with that guy.

It really doesn’t matter who lead the Republican senators at this point.

They have as much influence on national policy as we do - none.
