Sen. Rand Paul said he wants to force a vote on his legislation to end mask mandates on airplanes because he's tired of being "treated like cr*p" as a passenger and he wants to eat his peanuts in peace.
"It's a joke, it's theater, and there's no reason to be wearing them on the planes," the senator from Kentucky said on Newsmax. "We are just punishing ourselves. And I for one, I'm tired of paying the airlines to be treated like cr*p when I get on the plane."
Paul, a physician and senior member of the Senate Health, Education and Labor Committee, said he wants to be treated "like a paying customer."
"And I want them to bring me at least a glass of water and peanuts and I don't want somebody jammering at me to put my mask on in between peanuts," he added during the Tuesday interview.
Airline passengers are required to wear masks in airports and on airlines as a precaution against COVID-19. In July, Paul introduced legislation to prohibit the imposition of mask mandates on public transportation to "put a stop to this nanny state mandate" and saying then that "we've already reached herd immunity."

Senator Paul is wrong on that point. Joe says we have to wear them and that reason should be good enough for us. Why is he questioning our betters? They know what is best for us, have our best interests at heart, and we should gladly obey.
It’s been pretty easy for airlines to treat their customers like crap. They have been doing it for years.

Yes, yes, yes! If you want to know why there have been so many “incidents” on planes, it’s because of the mask madness.
I feel bad for the flight attendants, who are supposed to enforce it. Some obviously bring out their inner Stormtrooper, but others clearly don’t want to do it (until some Karen complains).
All of the passengers are watching each other. The Karens are looking for mask “violations,” and the other passengers are worried about the Karens.
All this in a space with UV air scrubbers and which has about the cleanest air anywhere.
But being subject to this mask stuff has added a level of tension and anger to flying that makes it unbearable.
I used to fly a lot. I have flown once (a domestic flight from a free state to a free state) and it was such a horrible experience that I’m simply not going to fly again until the mask idiocy is done.
Especially since “some people did something” on 9/11/2001, and the government created the TSA, in their infinite wisdom.
I’ve been sick of it since 9/11!!!!

The CDC recently tried to buck up the mask police by touting research that claims wearing a cloth mask lowers the odds of testing positive for COVID by 56%. It even tweeted out a poster promoting the results. But there’s an asterisk pointing to fine print at the bottom with the message “not statistically significant.” In other words, the margin of error was greater than 56%, which means that wearing a cloth mask could increase the chances that you get COVID.
The Heritage Foundation’s Doug Badger looked at the actual study and reports that it “found that wearing a mask some of the time might make you 46% more likely to test positive than wearing no mask at all. Wearing it most of the time could increase your risk by 5%.”
It was long accepted by the public health community, in fact, that masks weren’t effective at controlling the spread of respiratory viruses. The World Health Organization explained in 2019 that “There was no evidence that face masks are effective in reducing transmission of laboratory-confirmed influenza!”
Back in August, an epidemiologist and member of Joe Biden’s COVID-19 Advisory Board admitted that many face masks are ineffective at preventing the spread of the virus.
But all you have to do is look at states that imposed strict mask mandates and those that didn’t and you see that there’s no difference in the spread of the disease.
Mask mandates are completely pointless when it comes to children. The Atlantic published an analysis of school masking policies by three medical scholars – including an infectious disease specialist at the National Institutes of Health – who reviewed all the available science on school mask mandates “to try to find evidence that would justify the CDC’s no-end-in-sight mask guidance for the very-low-risk pediatric population, particularly post-vaccination. We came up empty-handed.”
It's all about teaching COMPLIANCE…....not “following the science”: Masks are:
1) a sign of submission, subversion and subjugation
2) mandated in order to dehumanize
3) virtue signaling devices
(4) meant to provide constant reinforcement of fear
(5) used to destroy community, friends and family normal communication
(6) implemented to create isolation, confusion, anxiety, destroy human connectivity, trust and interactions
(7) mandated to exacerbate illness
(8) intended to aid in the abandonment of the belief and reliance on our immune systems
(9) intended to refute integrous science
(10) signal to positions of power that you are willing to give up all of your rights and freedoms based on anything they say, even if it is a BIG FAT LIE!

I was trying to think of something more dehumanizing than 'cargo' but couldn't so cargo it is.
Although our NY governor was FORCED to drop her ILLEGAL mask mandate, our local Tompkins County Health Department (Ithaca, NY) is trying to PRETEND that a “mask mandate” still exists in our county.
In the Ithaca College Publication “The Ithacan” Whose motto? is Accuracy Independence Integrity published THIS today, 2/17/2022.
“On Feb. 9, Hochul announced that the state would be lifting its mask mandate the following day. Later that day, the Tompkins County Health Department (TCHD) announced that the mandate would stay in place for the county. “
LIES! NOT accurate, lack of integrity.
First of all their never was a state mandate. The court ruled that it was “null and void”. That the governor HAD NO SUCH AUTHORITY.
Second, Tompkins County Health Department HAS NO SUCH AUTHORITY!
Third, Tompkins County Health Department doesn’t claim that it does. Here is what they actually say about it...
“(Ithaca, N.Y.) – The Tompkins County Health Department is notifying the community that the local mask advisory to stop the spread of COVID-19 remains in effect. Tompkins County continues to be in a high transmission area as defined by the CDC. TCHD continues to urge mask wearing for all individuals while indoors and around others, as well as other precautions to stop the spread of COVID-19. TCHD is also advising local businesses to continue to ask that patrons wear a mask while indoors and around others.”
Mask “ADVISORY” in effect. ADVICE not MANDATE.
“URGE” mask wearing. As in “ASK”.

Most of the lemmings in Ithaca are continuing to be maskholes.
The ridiculousness of masks was evident in our brand new KFC last night. While waiting in line to order, in a crowded dining/ordering area, the person in front and behind me were masked. I was standing right next to, INCHES away from a family eating their meals sans masks. If you are “eating”, Covid, by law, cannot infect you. Unless you are on an airplane, then you have to eat with your mask ON.
