Two men in Texas killed in separate police-involved shootings within 12 hours of each other were free from jail on bond.
"It's a traumatic event no matter the circumstances for the officers involved to take a human life, it's big deal," Pasadena Police Chief Josh Bruegger told FOX 26 Houston.
Bruegger's officers and U.S. Marshals went to the Express Inn at 6620 North Freeway to arrest Wednesday to arrest 18-year-old Luis Alberto Rodriguez.
"He began to raise his shirt, he had two handguns in his waistband, began reaching for the handgun. At which time, two law enforcement officers discharged their weapons multiple times striking the suspect who is deceased here at the scene," Bruegger said.

Seems like Texas handled this situation quite properly.
Love a happy ending.
Both cases sound more like suicide by cop, especially the one pulling up his shirt and going for his pistols.
Open and shut, I just hope the cops come to terms with it okay.
Nothing beats a good cup of coffee + good news πΊπΈ
I don’t like summary justice, but it’s better than the no justice that the left is delivering.
“Seems like Texas handled this situation quite properly.”
Uh, no:
Huaracha was reportedly out on a personal recognizance bond for aggravated assault of a family member back in 2020.
“To get a PR bond on a felony case on a violent act on a family member, it’s very concerning and upsetting as well,” Gonzalez said.
They’re overrun by criminals streaming across the border. What does anyone expect? What the commies won;’t admit is that when cartel come over the border it frees up the common criminals as LE is overtaxed.
“... he had two handguns in his waistband...” Sure he did. I want to see the 4473 he filled out.
That’s a shame.
If your a criminal in Texas, sometimes it’s safer to stay in jail where you belong. The perp is lucky he confronted the police. If he were to pull his guns in some restaurants I frequent, he would have many more holes than what the cops put in him.
Feel-Good story of the day!
As another poster said, this seems to be the proper way to handle this. The taxpayers do not need to be bothered taking care of these gentlemen any longer. They were given a chance for redemption and refused it.
I am a Christian and believe in redemption, but it is a two way street. God reaches out to us and we have to take His hand. If you refuse to take the help or the hand, than another fate awaits.
If we could only ban ghost guns.............
Justice has been served in spite of all best efforts to thwart it.
I just love happy endings.
Agree. Nicely done.
....”...18-year-old Luis Alberto Rodriguez....He began to raise his shirt, he had two handguns in his waistband,...”
okay, so how did this young scumbag get two guns...? bet he didn’t buy them honestly at a local gun show, for sure... yeah....he probably got them as most of his dirt-bag types get them...illegally, on the street...next thing you know, there will be the revelation that he was an aspiring Latino rapper, his life tragicalluy cut short by those nasty police officers.....
What is the problem?
At least one of the dead criminals was armed and showed weapons. Officers defended themselves and killed the man.
there needs to be more, much much more such instant extermination rather than protracted mollycoddling you apparently desire
