To help ensure Americans have tests on hand if a need arises, the Biden Administration is purchasing one billion at-home, rapid COVID-19 tests to give to Americans for free. A half-billion tests will be available for order on January 19th and will be mailed directly to American households.
There will be free tests available for every household, and to promote broad access, the initial program will allow four free tests to be requested per residential address. Starting January 19th, Americans will be able to order their tests online at COVIDTests.gov, and tests will typically ship within 7-12 days of ordering.

We had a hard time chasing one down, before the ones from the government were available; and my husband needed it in order to continue working.

I came up with it from experience, and my response was to Obadiah, who said that the tests were ‘nowhere needed’.
I’m not sure what some people here think folks should do.
Should everyone just quit their job because the management is demanding a test before they return to work?
The test is innocuous, and neither the results, nor any genetic sample, is transmitted to any ‘DNA database’ in China or anywhere else.
I had a PCR test and it felt like a membrane was punctured. It hurt and burned for over 2 weeks and still doesn’t feel normal.
Never again.
And God only knows what China is putting on those swabs for us to insert directly into mucous membranes.
I would use another swab - maybe Q-Tip? and just transfer it instead of putting the Chinese one directly into mucous membranes.
From the billion (American) dollar purchase China Joe gave China for these tests made in China? No thanks.

In this rural area we have a big flea market that sells everything from custom knives and used books to livestock, local produce and AKC puppies-it is a favorite place for the snowbirds that winter here every year in riverside cabins and RV parks.
For the last few weeks, local residents have started getting those “free” Wuhan/Covid tests in the mail-and now, those tests are a new hot item for the tourists/snowbirds-conveniently available at several stalls at the flea market-at a greatly inflated price, of course-and every Saturday, the sellers are out of them within a couple of hours-that is where the Biden “free” and reliable Chinese tests are going out here-sold to the snowbird tourists, at a profit to us dumb rural/flyover people with stalls at the local flea market-it beats putting them in the trash-and serves Biden right for trashing our economy out here and making life hard for us...

Good to know. Just an FYI, an organization I was traveling for 3 months ago would not accept results from an in-home test. Don’t know if that’s different now.
Well, I guess things are different everywhere. My husband’s institution offered free tests throughout the pandemic, but when at-home tests became available they decided to allow that, and self-reporting, too.
Classic Slow Joe ... get your Chinese test kits 3 weeks after the fake pandemic is over ... but the Big Guy still gets his 10%.
