Special counsel John Durham‘s explosive court filing has complicated any attempt by the Biden administration to shut down his investigation of the FBI‘s Russian election interference probe due to the political firestorm it would ignite.
Mr. Durham alleged in the case against Democratic attorney Michael Sussmann that people affiliated with Hilary Clinton’s 2016 campaign exploited access to former President Donald Trump’s internet data to link him to Russia.
The revelation puts the Biden administration in the hot seat because several top Clinton campaign officials have made their way to the White House. One of them is National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, a foreign policy adviser for the campaign.
“The first thing I wondered when I read the filing is the closer this thing zeroes in on Jake Sullivan or the inner workings of the Clinton campaign, how concerned is the Biden administration going to be?” said Robert W. Ray. who succeeded Kenneth Starr as independent counsel for the investigations of President Bill Clinton. “How long before [Attorney General] Merrick Garland yanks the reins?”
Andrew Leipold, a law professor at the University of Illinois who served as a consultant in Mr. Starr’s investigation, said the unusual circumstances of Mr. Durham‘s filing appear to show an effort by the special counsel to protect himself.

I would be laughing on the floor hysterically at this piece if it were not likely that if true Durham would just end up at Fort Macy park.
Pointless anyway as I posted earlier, Garland would have no problem whatsoever dismissing Durham of he thought it was an issue and the media would cover it all up.
All this is a total nothing burger. No one will be convicted in a DC court!
The punditry class needs to get a clue, this level of naivety is embarrassing.

Durham is probably aware of that and is treading so as to avoid implicating the Bidens at all. If Biden is implicated in it in a public manner then Durham’s life is over. If Biden can maintain some smoke screen that makes him uninvolved then Biden can maintain his power, such as it is, and verbally order the DOJ to not pursue the issue just like he did with Hunter’s laptop full of incriminating pictures.
I debated this in another FR thread, we will know if Durham is really closing in on the truth when the Democrats start calling for him to be fired, after they plant stories in the MSM accusing him of violating something.

They still don’t get it. The key is that someone kept on paying the IT company to ‘bug’ Donald Trump AFTER Hillary lost the election. The indictment says it wasn’t Hillary....IT WAS JOE BIDEN.

The DOJ is the political brain and nerve center of Fed.gov. Its has all the functions (and more and more of the methods) of the Soviet KGB.
If Clinton isn't already in jail for having an email server in her bathroom she will never go.

This new story is interesting and has some relevance to the actual “wiretapping” that was done of Trump, but should not be confused with that.
It’s more like a squirrel designed to take our eyes off the Steele dossier and all the (15+) criminal referrals that the House and Senate Judiciary committees put together, that most everyone thought Durham was going to be investigating, instead.
