The world is unlikely to reach the 'worst case scenario' of climate change by the end of the century, according to a new study, that found efforts to reduce emissions are helping keep warning under control.
The Paris Climate Agreement goal to limit global warming this century to 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit over pre-industrial temperatures was set in December 2015.
This urged nations to take action to reduce emissions of greenhouse gasses in order to forestal the most extreme climate change scenarios being predicted by scientists at the time - that could see temperatures rise by up to 9 degrees Fahrenheit.
However, a new study, by the University of Colorado Boulder, that looked at the latest data on emission levels, found those extreme temperatures, that would have led to a sharp rise in extreme weather events and sea rises, are no longer plausible.
The researchers found that the extreme scenarios and temperature increase predictions were based on outdated data from 15 years ago, that didn't take into account recent efforts to reduce emissions, and a move to renewable energy.
They said that temperatures are likely to rise by no more than 4 degrees Fahrenheit by 2100, and the 3.6F goal 'is still within reach' if emission reduction continues.

I don't believe the data was ever plausible.

Translation: our propaganda isn't plausible. Even though we have not reduced carbon dioxide in the atmosphere one bit, trying to do so is what made things "better".

Humans traditionally have been happy and productive during the Earth’s warm cycles. It’s the cool periods, or “little ice ages”, that cause real human misery. These are the good old days.
Total garbage, by all metrics those accords failed miserably, the countries in those accords did not meet one goal, NOT ONE.
In fact the country which did more than any other to actually reduce emissions was the US and we rejected those accords. Now this pompous self proclaimed elite jerks will again re-write history to put the lie out that they saved the planet and many blind people will swallow it like Kool-Aid at Jonestown.

In 1995 the “experts “ predicted that the world’s coastlines would be under 20 feet of water by 2015. What a joke.
Emissions reduction in the US does nothing in the context of rampant and expanding use of fossil fuels in the developing world. QED.
However, you could make a good case the climate scam has been immensely successful at transfering wealth from productive people to politically favored people.

Despite their best efforts to push the limits of manipulating data the temp. has been falling since 2016 and 2021 dropped to the 6th "warmest year on record".
Really? Because china has surely increased emissions far above whatever what reduced by the suicidal woketard nations of the West.

All baloney. The rate of increase in CO2 which is about 20 parts per million per decade, is constant since 1990. There is no detectable signal that anything being done today has had any effect whatsoever.

The Earths average temperature has not varied more than 3 degrees over the last couple of hundred thousand years. A new ice age is more likely than global warming.
