"There's a lot of work that needs to be done,' says Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino
Public Safety Marco Mendicino sought to assure Ottawa residents Tuesday that the chaos in the city will soon end as local law enforcement, bolstered by the RCMP, works around the clock to restore order.
Empowered by the federal government's move to invoke the Emergencies Act, police will soon establish "no-go" zones in the city's downtown core to control unruly crowds associated with the anti-vaccine mandate convoy protest, the minister said. People who defy orders to leave, he added, will face fines of jail time, or both.
Mendicino said authorities will move with "great rapidity" to erect more concrete barriers and press private tow truck companies into removing the big rigs that have clogged Ottawa's streets.
To starve protesters of the money that supports their activities, banks and financial institutions will stop the flow of funds to all convoy organizers, he said.
The government is also threatening to suspend corporate bank accounts and commercial licensing for truckers taking part in the convoy...

“Heavy Haul 401” is a reality show which follows heavy tow trucks in Ontario, along the busiest highway in North America
One of the “stars” of the show is an Indian immigrant.
There are many other East Indian truckers. That support the Freedom Convoy.
Put these minorities out front to show their support.
Who is racist now?
Exactly.
🤬
Have you noticied they haven’t showed up, besides the one with the Nazi flag?
Who was outside the protest.
Truckers won’t deal with the crap we saw on Jan 06, they learned from that crap show.
“I wonder if by “press”, they mean to force into service, the way the British navy used to do, centuries ago.”
that indeed appears to be the case ...
“...control unruly crowds ...””
I have watched the crowds of protesters in Ottawa by video and they certainly have not been “unruly.” It been a party atmosphere with protesters and city dwellers having a good time together.
Not Ottawa, but another Canadian city - as police moved in to arrest protesting truckers Saturday, the towns people came out in large numbers and formed a human chain to protect the truckers. -
We are living in a remarkable time.

“Unruly” = do not accept the borders of the ruling class.
“Crowds” = protesters and supporters outnumber the government.
So, accurate.
Affirmative sir.
I wonder if the truckers are just going to tell the a$$ holes in government, if they want stuff delivered, to deliver it themselves, they are on strike?
I mean her Mendicino bean-o
By where some bugs had made it red
Cue the scene from Schindler’s List where the Nazis are going door to door, and the machine gun fire lights up the dark apartment windows across the city...
They have dumped all their eggs in the crush dissent basket, and can only make this worse.
“unruly crowds” are not in Canada. The crowds are peaceful, orderly and kind.
The Canadian government needs regime change.
They all need to go.
Another show with at least one Indian owner but I believe two is highway thru hell
The patriotic rank and file dutifully following their liberal masters.
The Canadian government is going to burn them out.
They cannot keep that kind of pace forever and there are only so many of them, and I’ll bet a lot are looking for jobs elsewhere, which puts more pressure on those left.
I think trucker strategy should emulate hero from the American Revolution, partisan leader Francis Marion (The Swamp Fox.)
Trucks are mobile. Now use strategies to appear where least expected.
