I’m a Town Supervisor and I see price increases in everything we buy. There is a certain portion of the population that will believe inflation is going back down. We need to take back power from the Dems and Dino’s and the deep state. I firmly believe this is our last chance.

If the expected rate of increase decreases, then they say that is a lessening of fear. Prices will be even higher a year from now, if these courageous pollees (?) are correct.

Very normal. You can’t stay in panic too long, eventually fear wears off and you get on with life.
Inflation, as measured the way it was measured in 1980, is 15%, not 7.5%.
If they wanted to pull a Volcker, they would have to raise the rate to something above 15% to get it under control. Since there isn’t a full set of balls anywhere in this Admin, look for inflation, as measured in 2022, to go to over 10%.
I noticed that mortgages have spiked to 4.3% this AM. That’s not going to be good enough. Not nearly.

They’re not declaring victory (yet). Rather than adhering to ‘science’ they are looking into their crystal balls (funny how these ‘projections’ always work in their favor) weeks into the future and pacifying detractors by granting relief from their unjustified, wholly illegal dictates.
‘Victory’ will be declared later when it is politically-expedient. Right now, they’re buffering public pushback, particularly in response to the Freedom Convoy and its effects.
Imagine where we’d be had we collectively done the same a year or more ago. But no: The power remains among the tyrants only to manifest at another time of their choosing.
