I’ve heatd that there were election shenanigans going on to deliver a second term to Trudeau and his Liberals; may be illegitimately occupying that office. And prime ministers are not directly elected, but selected as party leader by members of that party who are usually office-holders.

Those who put their faith in the power of government are by definition fascists and any kind of disobedience drives them crazy. Whether it’s masks and mandates or some “uppity black” who doesn’t follow the oppressed-minority-racism playbook, they lose their minds whenever someone stands up to them and all they know is to attack and destroy them to try to restore what they see as the proper order of things - with those like them giving orders to those like us.

That’s a good point. If the truckers go on nationwide strike, they’ll be hurting financially for sure. But that is not much different than any other kind of labor strike. You wait it out, and try to pick up side work in the meantime.
I don’t mean to be flippant here. It won’t be easy. Each trucker will have to decide for himself if it is worth it. I myself have been on strike. I thought it was worth it. But I bore no ill will to those who thought otherwise.
A dark day in Canadian history, and for the West as well.

My recollection of history may be a little fuzzy, but I don’t recall the American colonies talking or voting their way out from under King George’s boot heel. Tyrants don’t respect the People’s wishes, and efforts at diplomacy only annoy them. Whether Canada, colonial America, or any other country that has found itself subjugated by tyrants, there is only one way to regain lost freedom. ONLY…ONE…WAY.
It’s especially tough if they own their own rig and have to keep up the monthly payments on the loan.
