Yes I was told by a Mountie that the Province must request the military, and they don’t wanna. For starters, the Province needs to pay for the military activity. According to Trudeau today (I know...) invocation of this Act does not mean calling out the military, and that the military is NOT being called out. But this means enhanced Federal police powers.

I have family members and a couple of friends who are/have been independent long haul truckers-the two I talked to today are positively gleeful at the thought of liberals in cities in Canada-or here-not having all their favorite fast-and-fancy food right at their fingertips and phones-those of us who live rural and/or provide for ourselves will be inconvenienced-but nothing like in a city...
I so hope you are right.
I suggest we get some Canadian Freepers to run a real-time thread when the vote of no confidence is held as I expect to see that in the 48 hours after debate. I have sat in the gallery of the Canadian Parliament when we had family working up there — it is going to be crowded I expect.

I was surprised to see both the Conservatives and Bloc Quebecois join together to vote unanimously to end the mandates today. Their vote was overridden by the Libs, NDP and Greens, but that was pretty remarkable.
The NDP leader say imposing this act is a failure of leadership but he still supports it ,LOL
I guess we’ll see if which reps. are willing to end their political careers.
