Remarkable story, as always, but this one is extraordinary.

COs were frequently scorned and despised during and after their service. “Slacker” was about the most respectable slur thrown at them.

Pvt. Doss demonstrated that heroism does not necessarily occur through use of force.

The movie Hacksaw Ridge was made about him. It is very realistic.
