A New Jersey auto dealer is selling a new Ford Bronco for a staggering 43 percent above the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, as inflation reaches historic levels and auto inventory shortages wreak havoc on consumer wallets.
“We are going to be like Cuba soon,” said one customer at All American Ford in Old Bridge, NJ. “No new cars and we’ll all be driving ’57 Chevys.”
A New York City man expressed his truckin’ outrage on social media this week after he found a 2021 Ford Bronco at the Old Bridge dealer with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $34,855 being sold instead for $49,855 – a “market adjustment” of $15,000.

We'll re-direct them straight to you. (j/k)
Think Tesla.
They are coming by the hundreds of thousands sold direct and not through dealers.
There is major disruption in process and in full force when the mega factory in Texas begins to really spit them out.
Disclaimer: I observe and present a finding. I do not want a Tesla
There is no price gouging. What you see is the market at work.
No, how can you!?
There are complete office buildings dedicated to reaching you with the “warranty coverage” that you MUST renew NOW...
I never paid attention to the color of the stickers except there was a new color for each new year.
The eagle eyed car people know the ages of our vehicles and apparently when we get the vehicles smogged and a new sticker color. That alerts those looking for older and still smog passing vehicles.
No one in my family really knew about this clue re buying a used vehicle in California.
Check your license tag plate.
In the upper right hand corner is a colored sticker. Each year they have a different color. That mainly alerts the Chps and local cops if your tag sticker color is up to date.
Vehicles which passed the smog test last year apparently got a green sticker for that upper right corner of your license plate. The new sticker and its color, green on our vehicles keeps the cops away for about 2 years re routine stops re up to date licensing and smogging.
What color are the sticker tags for 2022 in California.
Green (2021-2022) Blue (2022-2023) Yellow (2023-2024)
Then, there are special decal colors for hybrids and all electrics vehicles, somehow, your adjusted gross income determines those colors and apparently your license fees.

I know there is a sticker for your license plate and the color changes every year. The only thing I’ve heard called the green sticker is the registration sticker for off-road vehicles. That is why I had a question.
I bought my house in ‘99. Paid a bit north of 200K.
Similar homes are selling in the $550K range.
Nice gain on paper though.
