A New Jersey auto dealer is selling a new Ford Bronco for a staggering 43 percent above the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, as inflation reaches historic levels and auto inventory shortages wreak havoc on consumer wallets.
“We are going to be like Cuba soon,” said one customer at All American Ford in Old Bridge, NJ. “No new cars and we’ll all be driving ’57 Chevys.”
A New York City man expressed his truckin’ outrage on social media this week after he found a 2021 Ford Bronco at the Old Bridge dealer with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $34,855 being sold instead for $49,855 – a “market adjustment” of $15,000.

went by a KIA dealership…maybe twenty cars…and they could have been the employees..
About what I paid for our 14 acres and the most we've ever paid for a vehicle is $3k. I can fix my own which helps. I can't imagine being poor and not having a mechanical aptitude.
A new insanity is a 10+ year old vehicle in California with a new green sticker of the license plate.
That sticker shows that the vehicle has passed a strict California smog test for 2 years.
Both of our our vehicles, a 14 year old Lexus and the original Honda Ridgeline now have the green sticker.
Suddenly vehicles in good shape before the smog test are now even more valuable.
The smog shop owner told me if I ever wanted to trade or sell theses vehicles to let him know after he put the new green sticker on the license plate. The tire/shop and maintenance manager told me the same thing.
On of our sons got an early inheritance of a OJ Simpson Bronco. It just got smogged and the mechanic/shop owner said, “Call me before you sell this vehicle”.
Suddenly, the Hispanics with cash are telling him the same or leaving notes on under his wipers with high $ offers.
A DIL with a 20 year old GMC suv is getting similar offers. Yep, her vehicle was just smogged with the green sticker.
Welcome to Bidenland.
Yep. When shopping on a dealer lot they never tell you price. They just tell you what it costs per month. “How much can you afford? It’s only $400 a month...”
Can’t really blame the stealership if someone is willing to pay that.

The car manufacturers can.
How dare you be logical about such an emotional topic!
Exactly. It ain't rocket science here.
My home is valued in Zillow a full $70,000 more than I paid for it back in 04/19 and when I sell it, you better believe I'll take as much as I could possibly get.
I’m on my fourth German car...all were regularly serviced but still spent a lot of time in the shop...mainly electrical issues.
Might want to get a larger mailbox to handle all the extended warranty solicitations you are about to be bombarded with.
“People purchasing cars 50% over list, especially if they take an auto loan, are going to be severely underwater “
You can’t finance the markup.
“shoot they are selling for 60k plus here”
Seeing is believing. Just saying.
A Continental inline 6 not good enough for you?
“What are used cars selling for?”
Crazy.
My 2020 Toyota Tacoma 4wd/V6 extra cab with 10K miles is worth more than I paid for it new.
A 2022 is $10k higher in price...if you can find one.
Crazy I tell ya...
Track him down and get it autographed! That will really make it a collector item.
In 1929, GM finally figured out how to beat the Model T:
“I love my 16 Tacoma but I don’t want to buy another new vehicle.”
It’s good for at least 300k miles even if you abuse it.
