A New Jersey auto dealer is selling a new Ford Bronco for a staggering 43 percent above the manufacturer’s suggested retail price, as inflation reaches historic levels and auto inventory shortages wreak havoc on consumer wallets.
“We are going to be like Cuba soon,” said one customer at All American Ford in Old Bridge, NJ. “No new cars and we’ll all be driving ’57 Chevys.”
A New York City man expressed his truckin’ outrage on social media this week after he found a 2021 Ford Bronco at the Old Bridge dealer with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $34,855 being sold instead for $49,855 – a “market adjustment” of $15,000.

As long as you keep the frame from rusting out (not a problem in the sun belt of course).
“with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $34,855 being sold instead for $49,855”
And what was the model? Was it the Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, or the Wildtrak? What were the factory and or dealer installed options?
The no frills base model for example starts at $29,300 while the fully loaded Wildtrak starts at over $49k
Yep, but it won't take long for some leftist to want the government to limit how much a dealer can mark the price up.
Sublime simplicity.
Subtle:
making use of clever and indirect methods to achieve something.
What does a yellow light mean?
I know of one with 400k.
In the past few weeks I’ve been home, that Tacoma has been maybe 3 miles.
Nowhere to go other than a couple of short errands and a close by storage building check.
I went to the building today to look at the collection of jaolpies. Right now that’s about all I am cleared for.
A couple of weeks and see what he surgical whiz says. Great guy.
Slow down.
That’s some of the best comedy ever.
Jim Ignatowski helped make the show.
With my hair as it is now since I am sort housebound, I could be a clean cut version with gray hair. Someone else thought a member of the Grateful Dead. When I am ready for prime time, I’ll seek a trim for the hippie hair. Still a tad weak at times.
For all of my faults and failures in life, I never took an illegal substance in my life.
I live in commifornia and have never heard of these green stickers?
My dad got away cheap by just replacing the transmission in our SUV than going out trying to buy another used one.
“Yep. When shopping on a dealer lot they never tell you price. “
Wrong. You get the price BEFORE they take you to the finance dept.
At 72, I sill have the occasional “need for speed”. My 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Supercharged HEMI V8, dyno’d at 750hp thrills the heck out of me...
I was looking at dual sport motorcycles recently and made the mistake of calling a dealer from an ad on Craigslist. One used bike they had pictured was 6k. I asked how much out the door. He said he’d call me back after speaking with his sales boss. He calls back and long story short, they wanted 8700 out the door. I recoiled, and actually asked him if he was kidding....lol. No sale there...
There is a guy in LA that restored them and rented them to the studios for movies etc...If I can think of his company name I will ping ya.
i wonder if Ford will live up to their pledge to halt delivery of inventory to this dealer?
50% over MSRP? CHILD’S PLAY! One of my buds wanted an AMG GT Black Series. MSRP $325k. (This is a couple of months ago). They were listed for $700k. That was the “going price” for them all over the place.
I can tell you that my 1996 Rav4 doesn't need to be inspected this year or hereafter. Possibly, that's why I currently have a check engine light for Code P0401, the Vacuum Switching Valve has gone bad in the smog control system. I have the parts to fix it when I get around to it, but I'll still get my tag renewed next month with no problem.
Gee, I'm glad I don't live in California anymore. It's hard to believe it's been forty six years now. Sitting with my beautiful wife on bean bag chairs in front of the TV watching the Tall Ships in the harbor. It was magical back then.
