Democratic State Rep. Lee Snodgrass of Wisconsin was forced to apologize Thursday after writing on social media that parents who want to have control over their children's education need to home school them on their own dime.
"If parents want to 'have a say' in their child's education, they should home school or pay for private school tuition out of their family budget," the legislator tweeted on Thursday.
Snodgrass is the second vice chair of the state's Democratic Party.
Within hours, Snodgrass was beset by an avalanche of criticism. The tweet was quickly deleted and is no longer available.
The state representative published a follow-up statement.
"I deleted my Tweet since it was lacking in nuance and easily misinterpreted. I wouldn't want anyone to think that parents do not have a role in their child's public education-I sure did. I encourage all parents to engage in voting for school board, join PTO and meet with teachers."

Parents who decide not to send their kids to failing public schools should get a refund of their taxes used to support those schools or a voucher to use in the school of their choice.
Wisconsin Democrat says parents who want their children educated rather than programmed with communism and perverted sex should homeschool or pay for private.

Or we can just fire all the teachers and replace them, since WE own the whole school system.
And all the politicos and bureaucrats who want to brainwash our kids should pay for their own indoctrination camps out of their pockets and refund all the tax money of those who want a say in their kids education.

Why apologize for TELLING THE TRUTH? Even private schools are now controlled by the Left - at least the ones that want to be accredited (as the Left now controls that process).’
The only question left is when will the Left move-in on Home Schools and finish off their takeover of ‘education’?

He is right. His intent may be screwy but he is right. Charter schools can be another option but check them out first. Depending on public schools is a no go. Temporary limited can be won but the trend will always be toward removing academic content and substituting fad and propaganda.
Absolutely true but dropping taxes needs to be part of the deal
