Canadian police have set a midnight deadline for truckers to clear the Ambassador Bridge on Friday night, after they decided to defy the original deadline of 7pm, and handed out flyers warning those refusing to retreat that they risked CA $100,000 fines ($78,000) and the permanent loss of their commercial driving license.
The drivers are now setting themselves up for a showdown with police after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that 'everything is on the table' to end the Freedom Convoy demonstrations, after speaking directly with President Joe Biden.
A Canadian court on Friday issued the injunction to end the blockade at the key bridge connecting Windsor, Ontario with Detroit.

People have had enough.
Turdeau:
What a wuss what a wuss what a wuss
What a mighty fine wuss.
Anyone more interested in Super Bowl and/or Olympics than history being decided in the streets of Ottawa should be ashamed. Go to ZOT on youtube and be a witness to what the Marxist do.
The drivers are now setting themselves up for a showdown
***Over masking and vaxing mandates. They should redouble their efforts to show what this is about.
When they are already blocked from driving…
A threat to take away their driving license means nothing !
That is so true. The world is able to witness what is really occurring and compare that to what government, politicians and mainstream media are saying. This is a unique moment in history. There is a tremendous amount of credibility that is being lost. It is a pivot point.
Go for it Brandon Castro - crackdown with violence. Even better, get Brandon Bye-den and Gov. Whitless in MI to assist. See how long y’all remain in office after that.
I fear it will get ugly about 24 hours from now. Sometime in the dead of night Saturday night.
Many lost jobs, homes, family. Freedom.... means nothing left to lose. I wish i could be there.
Everyone please pray Psalm 35; it is what is happening today.
I suspect that even though midnight was the deadline, they are going to wait until daylight to move.
Easier to see.
I think the first day will be more a kid gloves approach. It’s after tomorrow that i think things will change. Not sure how, but here’s hoping and praying for the best. I hope the truckers are making sure everyone is topped off with food, water, and fuel. A diesel can idle a long time on a full tank.
Probably - but they will know when it's coming - lots of friendlies in the countryside.
May even be some pre-emptive attack disruptions.
They may realize too late that their "hidden" back-up have been flanked.
Is Trudeau starting to remind anyone here of Longshanks Son in Braveheart?
I just posted last night on one of the trucker sites that I think Turdeau is afraid to actually act on his threats. He’s like the parent who keeps threatening to spank, needs to sound tough, but never follows through. As I watch more deadlines and threats come and go, and they’re met with further warnings, this is what it feels like to me. I hope he doesn’t act - these truckers have woken up a LOT of people.
Two days ago in Wellington, the cops arrested over 100 ppl. Didn’t look good, as every single moment was on camera. The cops had formed a human chain to block the protesters, and were likely provoking them.
Yesterday, the cops moved in some k-rails and stood way back so they wouldn’t come in contact. Every time a thug cop loses his sh!t and goes neanderthal - and some of them always do, it costs them good will.
This will be the global media’s angle of attack come Monday
Could be he’s getting more detailed reports on the number of police voting with their feet taking sick and vacation time which Freedom Convoy has been mentioning.
Easy to have high concentrations of police to harass civilians with bogus charges at spot locations...but for big clearing operations they don’t have the manpower on paper much less real time availabilty nor equipment.
Nor hava they considered the problems of removal of seized rigs. Exactly how and where do they put them...how many cops can drive a big rig? How many police car escorts do they need to clear roadways to effect the move?
No, it’s pretty much hollow bluster and the impotent rage of incompetant leadership exposed. They have already become the butt of jokes world wide.
They can’t win for losing....in the end the combined pressures of the freedom protestors and businesses along with other provinces dropping the mandates
