idiots want to take 1 corrupt county and turn it into more than one corrupt county. Here’s an idea- make the elections more secure. There is a huge list of things that can be done to make them more secure and more legitimate without disenfranchising anyone.

Biden won the country by about 45,000 votes.

This is not anything new.

When I first began doing genealogy research I discovered that county were often changed. Counties have more to do with population then physical borders.

When counties got too large (in population) they would be divided (and the reverse was also true, when counties lost population they merged with another county).

Some counties even changed states!

Our various government borders may seem fixed and unmovable today but in our early history states, cities and county borders were much more flexible.

Actually is past time that some states be divided, California being the main one.

How can you have a Republic with representational form of government when it is possible for one large urban area can dictate to the rest of the people living in the state.

San Francisco and Los Angeles does not represent the view of Californians living outside those cities yet their liberal policies effect us all.

It cracked me up when he changed it to German Shepherds one time.

Maricopa county is just too big that’s why it’s rebelling against the state.

Too bad they did not propose this before the redistricting.

I am OK with this, as a future resident of Mogollon County. I would prefer to go a step further and establish the State of Phoenix.

Actually, I think it is a good idea. The Democrats from Phoenix have a big sandbox to play in and hide misappropriated votes.

It’s a lot harder to hide 45,000 stolen votes in the smaller box.

I compare it to Detroit in Wayne County, Michigan. All the suburbs have been Republican but the Democrats own the Detroit city government and overwhelm a lot of the county services. The big joke there has always been “Whoops, somehow the intercity precincts have 105% voter turnout again!”

To get the desired results, Phoenix proper will have to have to push the boundaries of stolen votes farther. Maybe a bridge too far.

In the meantime, the new Republican counties can feel that their votes now count.

Actually, I think it is a good idea.

Which is why it will never happen.

Maricopa county in Arizona is the most corrupt county in this country.

The nation is so glad that Maricopa officials have decided to split the corrupt county into 4 counties.

More people voted than there are folks in the great state of Arizona in the 2020 election. That is major cheating going on in Maricopa county.

Remember that the governor of Michigan told them to stop the counting of the votes since Wayne county is so corrupt.

The governor of Michigan stopped the vote cheating in Michigan and gave the state to President Trump.

The visual is deceptive. Maricopa as small as it is in land area has 60% of the Az population because of the Metro Phoenix area. All the other counties are sparsely populated.

Wouldn’t it contaminate other counties if you split it up ?

One of things I discovered in my research was one part of my family was siblings born in different states and different counties yet they never moved, the borders kept changing!

This does make research difficult since when counties change all the records need to move to the new county seat which was not always done (and let us not even talk about fires burning down wooden court houses).

Good points.

The next map, which shows the split, gives the county population, but not that of the state, which is about 7.3 million vs. about 4.4 million for Maricopa.
